I've been seeing fighter packs with x-wings and tie/LN's instead of the a-wing and interceptor and wondering if this is indicative of a reprint- has quality improved?

I noticed that compared to the core set, the wave 1 x-wings (at least mine) look better aligned at the seam line. It takes me forever to reshape the engines so they don't look crooked, so I was considering just buying a new set if newer printings are better.
