so i have been posting about a rebel swarm but i was thinking about doing the same thing but having the Nebulons be a big part while using the Overload pulses to help put out massive damage. what do yall think?

... Oh, I can hear the people now gritting teeth over the EA on a Nebulon B...

"Oh, you're going to expose the Horrible Flank of that thing?"

And who is your admiral?

I think you missed the leader.

ahh i just looked it up, i must have a flagship hmm...

so i would drop the 2 EA and add Dodonna to the Salvation

I'd drop the TurboLasers and swap out Dodonna for Mon Motha. With how much evade you have running with your ships, she increases survivability for all of your vessels.

well, it's true. The Flank isn't auto-death like some of the forums would make it out to be, but it's not ideal either.

More importantly, that's 20 points of EA (which we covered are necessary for Big-D), and 0 points of something more useful.

also, really don't recommend xx-9 on Salvation. The crit part of Salvation isn't really why you take it, it's the raw damage output. You'd be far better off with an X-17 or an H9 to help you push that damage through defense tokens.

In general, you want CR90s for ship-centric combat, with the only real exception being salvation (or Redemption for repairs). You're putting a lot of points into the Escort Nebs' ability to support squadrons, which will obviously be useless here.

anti-squadron fire on its own won't scare anyone apart from 3 health ties, but since you can't engage anything even they're going to find it quite easy to zip around to either

1.) the side of the formation, where you can only get minimal anti-squadron coverage either due to range/arc or obstructions from your own ships

2.) the same arc you want to shoot enemy ships out of

seeing no option for gunnery teams on a neb, #2 is going to be a huge problem

Cr-90s, though? Speedy little bastards are a lot more difficult to catch.

If you don't have CR-90s, I'd highly recommend ditching the escorts to focus on the Neb's unique strengths to free up 18 points. Buying MM should be priority #1, and then you could afford Redemption or Raymus on salvation

I've thought about an assault frigate and 4 corvettes with no fighter support. Mon motha is a must and the enhanced armament and gunnery teams on. The AF and overload pulse and janas light in a blue dice corvette. You can hit them very very hard and be gone before they do much damage. Dodging front arks isn't that hard with as fast and maneuverable they are

interesting on the AF and Corrvettes ill have to check that out

Wanting to try something similar with two VSD and three GSD.
