I guess the show was recorded before Bob's win. Since you really had 3 Regional Winners.

I played Jeremy in Round 5 of the Plano Regional. Great opponent. We were actually supposed to play Round 1, before they had to repost pairings. Thanks again for the acrylic Cloak token!

Excited to listen to this episode!

Yup - we recorded on a Thursday (as usual), then the Monroeville tournament was on Saturday. So when we were recording we only had 2 Regional winners.

Monroeville was a great time - but that will be covered in episode 30! :D

I imagine that Episode 30 will be fully dedicated to the Pittsburgh Regionals. With so many of the cast there and of course Bob's big win, I just think that is the big story there!

Nobody mentioned whether Horton hears a Twin Laser Turret or not, unless I missed it.

Bettah late den nevers...

I know! I think we lost some audio recording of the named K-wings as well? In any event I'll do a brief follow-up on Horton with TLT. Can't believe I forgot to run numbers on that one!

Tie MK II on the Tie Advanced as well!

You also forgot to mention that the Punisher can actually take ATs. Turns that 1 agility die into a 6/8 chance of an evade at range 3 and out of arc of a Turret.

Regarding Graz:

I still cannot see why I would fly him over a generic StarViper. Trading Barrel Roll, Boost and one evade die against ships outside of your arc for +5 PS seems like a suboptimal swap.

Ed went south for a minute talking about glorious Taloned Cobra (that's what I call him... like betters!)

Card sez double HIS Bonuses for range. Our boy gets 5 red dice and 4 green dice when appropriate range wise like.

DAT BAMF!!!

I noticed that mistake as well. T-Cobs, as I call him, is much better than made out to be on the show!

I have noticed that a lot of turnies seem to be trying to downplay just how cool SCUM is as a whole.

That might be me being in love with the faction. I wanted S&V for a long time and now that we have them they are my favorite faction. I have been all over learning about them, so I notice this meh mentality towards them.

:P

I don't really see a 'meh' mentality about scum. The IGs have been very popular and the Scum Boba/Kath see the table a lot more now. Hell, you even see HWKs again. The only ship in my opinion that's kind of a dud is the M3-A.

Will be rectified the next episode having won a tournament with Scum. :D

We actually had a 3 Scum HWK list doing OK - didn't make the cut though.

I enjoyed this episode quite a bit

Please don't take this next bit of feedback the wrong way, and I realize next episode is going to deal with this because of Bob's win, but would it be possible to have a bit of a break from the dual IG talk? It seems like we pretty frequently get 10+ minutes of discussion about dual IG lists and game experiences, and it'd be great to get a spotlight onto some other builds being used.

It's more of a we did not really need a third faction nonsense that I still feel... but it is fading away.

Kinda wish you guys went a bit more into Deathrain, as I personally feel he's going to be the most meta-changing ship in the entire wave. His ability to shove a Conner Net up Soontir's nostrils, locking down actions, movement, and dealing a damage, will be tremendous for allowing your ships to pin him down. Same goes for any other two-ship list.

I thought he was dismissed a bit quickly as well. "Deathrain can drop bombs from the front, and now, Redline"

Between Advanced Sensors and Experimental Interface, Deathrain offers more bomb/mine dropping options than Emon. He deserves a bit more discussion.

Otherwise, I enjoyed the show. Congratulations to Richard, Jeremy and Bob.

Keep up the good work.

+1, Deathtrain is certainly interesting. I may have to play some test games with him soon - I wonder how he will do against something like Rear Admiral + Fel. Fel really wants to avoid landing anywhere in front of him if you're equipped with Proxy Mines or Cluster Mines.

Or the net.

Means Fel must avoid both ends! Which is awesome!
