In a similar vein, I was playing against revised Hastur (who docks an investigator's maximum sanity for laying a seal), and the only investigator who sealed more than one gate was Mark Harrigan... so he was at 1 maximum sanity. He also managed to obtain Claustrophobia, so for the rest of the game he could only sit inside the Asylum helplessly.
