Turrets OP!
Ok, haven't we had enough of these threads???? C'mon, Nerf Gun Turrets are OP .... no they aren't, you just need to learn to fly ... oh, wait ....
Imma gonna go and report myself now...
ooooh so pretty
I see how it TL's but not how it gets a focus.
Should've used a Vulcan man, that thing's automatic.
C'mon, man. When you remove the nuance of maneuvering around desks and cubicles, it takes no skill!
(this thread is muuuuuch less mockery and flame-bait
)
Wouldnt your boss use it ti shoot you when he sees you posting to the forums instead of working
?
Hope you got autothrusters ready
Autothrusters only work if you are three cubicles away and have a rolling chair.
I showed that to my boss when I first started here, I'm surprised he still hasn't installed one.

Also a fire extinguisher.
That's a Nerf Stampede and due to power creep it is obsolete due to its unnecessary weight. It's also over costed 5 points and lacks an EPT.
But really, holy crap! Someone changed the power supply (missing battery pack in stock) to electrical and mounted a camera on the barrel.
That thing is operational!

I love this!
I hope my old boss doesn't see this. He'd put steel darts in it to replace the nerf ones. Or maybe a real gun instead. No wait. He hated technology. Wanted everyone to go back to the drawing boards and give up computers. He was the kind of guy that would save a penny to lose a dollar.
How many different news stories can I see coming out of this?
1. Weapon in Office prompts massive lockdown while threat in neutralized.
2. Competitors/Employees sue for feeling threatened while in office.
I'm sure there are many more that could come from that.

As they say, hope for the best but plan for the worst.
Edit: I think it's an interesting thing but given the hypersensitivity of various groups you're now forced to look at the bad ways something can be interpreted. Imagine dressing up as your favorite White armored trooper and marching with your "genuine Stormtrooper blaster rifle" down the street and getting arrested for disrupting a nearby school and disturbing the peace. Those are what prompt my comments.

Sounds like my current boss.
Why up grade a 20 year old computer when it still works. Doesn't do the job very well but that's not the point apparently.
Many still run DOS most are running win95 and a few with XP
And this is an electronics factory....
Nerf guns for all I say

My old boss used a post binder for purchase orders. For those un-acquainted with that technology a post binder consists of a separate front and back cover with the back cover holding two metal posts. The front could be secured by slipping it down over the posts and sliding a button lock. Use a two hole punch and you're in business. The problem arises if you need to retrieve an order. Without tearing it out. You need to remove the cover and all the sheets above the one you need, remove your sheet and re-install the paperwork and the cover. With a 3 ring binder you have the needed sheet in less time than it would take me to explain how it works. My boss spent an actual 18 minutes berating the idea of a ring binder. I won't tell you what he said about my idea of using a data base for scheduling annual and semi-annual inspections. If I did I'd be banned for life! Not only from the forums but playing X-wing!
Don't be so keen on updating old systems. There certainly could be some efficiencies gained doing so but new tech doesn't alway come problem free. When it comes to information we should also remember that some of the new stuff which makes it more accessible does so for anyone; if you want to keep your secrets staying off the WWW will certainly help. And finally lets not forget that updating tech may also mean a more efficient work place which no longer needs employees to run certain tasks.
And some folk go WAYyyy further.
OP... kinda.
