I shall be there the entire con. I'll be playing in the X-Wing Nationals. I'm looking forward to it.

Hopefully my dice won't treat me as badly as they did in Plano, should we be paired up again in Swiss good sir. ;-)

I am also going, but I wasn't able to get into any competitive events. Hoping to get some x-wing in.

I would be a very sad panda if FFG doesn't have either Wave 7 or Raider available there (although my wallet will be very sad if they ARE there, so either way there shall be misery!)

Anyone want to do some pick up games of X-Wing on Wednesday? My flight gets in at 10 am that day and I'll be in Indi with no plans until the Prelims start Thursday morning.

Possibly, I think arrive stupid early in the morning on Wednesday. Is there a local game store downtown somewhere?

There is a game store in the attached mall to the convention center. Or was last year. Not the type to game in, though.

Three nights before the long drive and I'm plagued by self-doubt on my list. Uhg. Did me well until last week when I failed three matches big... Tactical errors, yes, and good play by my opponents. It did bring into question though what my objective is in a match... I have a list I've been theory building which is exactly the opposite style of play, in strengths and weaknesses. Wish I had time for another event first!

I'm having the same problem myself. I have a few different ideas, but really can't settle on any of them.

Anybody know if they've posted info anywhere about what the goodies/prizes/whatevers are gonna be, for Nationals?

Is it generally the same "winner, top 4/8/16" format, or do they get a little more generous with the love since there's so many players?

If anyone wants to get some games in there is usually space around the convention center or in the hotel lobby areas. I never had a problem finding space on a Wednesday to play Legend of the 5 Rings back when I was playing that competitively. My google is [email protected] if anyone wants to drop me an IM or get message me and I'll give you my phone number.

I'd gladly take you up on that... Lot of variables though and I have a meeting at 5 that is booked for four hours... So clearly I need to get all else organized first.

The Convention Center will be open most, if not all, of Wednesday for attendee check-in.

But, honestly, I would suggest the dining area at the nearby Embassy Suites. Dozens of tables that are perfect for X-Wing games.

Somebody organize it for Wednesday and post the time here. I'll make sure all the X-Wing people I know are going are aware of the meet-up.

Plus as I recall the Embassy also does a HH so we can really fly casual. My flight arrives around 2:30, so I'll stop by around 4ish.

When settling in to pack my stuff this afternoon, I'll admit it, I started by prepping a Plano tray full of my X-Wing goodies (then moved on to other gaming necessities, then found a good book to bring, THEN went for my suitcase and clothes).
