Firespray rear arc

By cdr, in X-Wing Rules Questions

I'll begin saying i'm really new, only have played 3 100points games.

So, i was playing with boba fett and my opponent soontir with autothrusters and the game came to a state in where i managed to get rear arc range 1 to him and then the questions started.

Does the rear arc got the 1 dice bonus? i thought that was the case because its the primary weapon arc but he was not sure that was the case.

Does autothursters trigger?

The answers i got were it gets the dice range bonus but autos trigger.

Is it correct or works different? How would this work in a turret ship like han or the decimator?

Thanks for the answers beforehand.

The Rear Arc gets the 1 die bonus.

It is a primary weapon, and if you fire at Range 1 with your primary, you get your bonus die.

Autothrusters do not trigger.

The rear Arc is still a firing arc. Contrast this with a ship like the Falcon, which fires outside of its arc to fire behind itself, when they would trigger.

Auxillary Arcs are firing arcs. The only difference between them and the regular is that you cannot fire secondary weapons through that arc. Autothrusters, Backstabber, and Outmaneuver don't trigger against them.

Yeah Autothrusters don't work when in the rear arc of a Firespray unless the ships at range 3.

somewhat unrelated but firespray related... Imperial kath, if lets say theres a calculation on her, and an ion cannon. would the Ion cannon's cancellation of the dice trigger the stress if the attack goes through (assuming of course there is a crit within the cancelled dice)?

No.

Her ability doesn't occur with her canceling her own dice, just when the opponent does.
