Edited by RakaydosWon't work on a bombers since they only have one bomb slot. If you fixed that...
Then what're you left with, a crew and a torpedo?
I can't imagine it would be too awesome, but also not too terrible either. So maybe it'd be ok?
what would you put on there as a crew? Mara Jade? Tactitian?
Nah. What crew do you want on the ship so badly? I think if you want it to do it, you still need to leave the missile or torpedo slot.

As Legends have it, the Tie Shuttle turns the entire bomber hull into a passanger compartment. Leaving missile or torp slots just doesnt fit the lore.
What would be some 1-2 point crew you could fill out a bomber swarm with? or give to Major Rymer to support cannon shuttles?
It could still keep the bomb slot, couldn't it? Then it could take "Bombardier!"

I'd have it add 2 crew slots.

26 points for Emperor? ![]()
Well, it's an interesting one. The ship itself is not worth enough to buy crew that can upgrade it - so a lot of the standard buys are out. You want to either boost your buddies, or hurt your enemies in ways other than combat boosters.
Intelligence Agent: Help your swarms know where to aim for blocking if you fly a pack of Obsidians, maybe?
Fleet Officer: This would actually be pretty awesome, because the TIE Bomber with MkII Ion has fantastic greens to sneak along slowly away from combat and cheaply boost the aces in the squad, and then zoom off while still buffing his buddies if they chase him. For 21-22 points, these'd be an imperial HWK-lite.
Vader: ... You'd get two shots, but they're crits and can't miss. A self-destructing Fel counter (Assuming two crits is sufficient!) for 19 points? Mmmmaybe. But probably not. ![]()
Tactician: Stress the enemy. This would be pretty potent for 18 points, especially because you'd be flying a whole truckload of them. Imperial control lists! Will wonders never cease. ![]()
Mara Jade: A little bubble of stress on the table? Try 'fire magnet'. ![]()
Rebel Captive does something similar, in making it the cheap cannon fodder that is actively detrimental to shoot at. I suspect this would land up firmly in the TIE Advanced camp, though - 21 points for a durable-but-weak-attack ship is 'the one we kill off last'.
Ysanne: Mentioned purely for hilarities sake - it needs take only one damage to start getting the free evades. Worthwhile? Heck no. But it could be funny to watch people run over asteroids deliberately to take that first damage point. ![]()
Of those, Fleet Officer, Mara Jade, and Tactician are the ones worth noting closely. Fleet Officer is a 22pt buff-ship, great for boosting Interceptors or the like. Mara Jade is a great fire magnet and/or swarm-buster, but Tactician is the one that really interests me. Do we have any precedent for an 18pt stressbot before? I worry that BBBBAP would become an Imperial control list of choice. ![]()
Alternatively: what's the best you can do with 28pts to devour the stressed-out ships from 4x tactician bombshuttles? An HLC Shuttle or a Stygian (or FCS) Phantom would give you a four-die gun that you aim carefully, perhaps?
