****. Now I'm actually tempted to give the 3 x Cartel Marauder, 2 x Cartel Space list a try.

Time to hit ebay and sell off some more GW stuff, I guess...

I suggest doing a proxy test first before investing more money into this ship. I own two of them. Wish I only owned one...

A 17-point Marauder with AT is actually worth taking.

And Heavy scyk should've been -1 point instead of +1.

If they had boost, they would be much more effective arc dodgers. A veteran with PTL would be fantastic!

they need boost more for thrusters than for having boost :P

There are two ways and two ways only to win with seeks.

;)

One (The BEST) play glorious EPIC and take a dozen of the little rascals. Pimp them all up just as pimp as you can pimp; and run at least half of them with HLC and/or MC's

Two (Still Okay) take two or three and run them the same way you run A-Wings, which is to say; have a clear goal for them to achieve and carefully get them about doing it!

There it is, and it is this only.

My favorite solution I've seen would have been to have the title stay at the same cost but include a hull upgrade as part of it.

Kinda fits the title too... dunnit.

But...

I find I never use ordinance on Scyks other than deadeye Quinn Jast with Cruise or Harpoon, and even he's not great.

I don't think Scyks will ever receive a direct fix, but what could make ordinance on them better.

Perhaps two slots of whichever ordinance type is chosen.

Torpedos are weaker than missiles these days but extra Munitions makes them a bit cheaper.

Or just a boring -3 discount on ordinance?

That would enable a 20 point tansari vet with deadeye, Cruise and chips. But that feels a bit much, perhaps -2 is better/balanced.

Come on guys, help me homebrew a way of making Ordinance Scyks a good thing.

Quinn gets sooo expensive fast. 20points, at the bad PS of 6, already, without the rocket/torp. So for a good torp like Ion or good missile he is already almost a quarter of your list on 3/1 behind 3agi. That's a lot of points, with the overabundance of red dice nowadays.

And then is too slow to run away and reload and getting around to Lock and fire again. In my limited experience he either dies before having a chance to reload, or is out of the game for too long while reloading, for the point investment. Which is a pity, cause I really would like seeing Scyks doing major work.

Having him as an enabler of repeated usage of XX-23 Tracers could work if there are enough other launchers around.

Quinn with Concussion reliably hits for 4 damage, though I've moved to using him with Harpoon since I can preserve the Focus.

Amazing. Just seen this post for the first time. I bought the Scyks and won the first tournament I played them in! Zero regrets! ?

The moment the title got the fix, I went out and bought 3 more! Ran 4 of them Mindlinked and won my first 2 tournaments, in a row no less!

And were they ordinance builds? if so what was your match up and how did it go?

I find most pilots good with cannons or as naked lights (usually in the former of inaldra or sunny)

This was before the fix. This was back in the autumn of '15, when the Kihraxz first arrived... I can remember it like it was yesterday.

The Hutt Cartel was merely the prototype. The FIVE. CARTEL. MARAUDERS. were the final form.
