Fat Han and Istban

By Rakaydos, in X-Wing Squad Lists

The popular responce to a fat turret is to kill it while you still have the ships to do so- and one of the strengths of fat han and corran is that corran is just as hard to kill.

Thislist expiriments with an attempt to make a "fat Bwing" using Jan Ors to more than double the bwings expected mitigation. As a bonus, if the enemy makes a focused effort to kill han first, he can benifit from Falcon-ptl-Jan with 3po.

Man, you guys are terrible at naming lists. This is supposed to be called "Fish Tank".

I recently ran Ibtisam with Sensor Jammer and Elusiveness in a couple games, and it was a real headache for my opponents to get rid of. I had two higher pilot skill pilots alongside her, so I could attack whoever had arc on her and often force them to spend their focus to defend, which made Sensor Jammer into a free evade in essence. Conversely, higher skill pilots always had to spend their focus on offense if they wanted to do damage, which left them open to my other ships. Meanwhile, Elusiveness let Ibtisam reroll critical hits or regular hit results on strong attack rolls against her, the stress it gives her then triggering her native reroll ability.

I'd wondered about putting the B-Wing/E2 on her and using a crew to make her even more hard to kill, and joked about using C-3PO with a couple of guys I play casual games with, but I like the idea of using Jan Ors because it would be a lot more flexible in its usage.

One of the best things about running Jan Ors?

She doesn't need to be on Ibtisam to work!
