Is the Bow from... The Legend of Zelda!?

By Filippo, in Talisman Rules Questions

Ciao
In Talisman there are a lot of weird effects for their respective cards... one of the most particular is the Bow in the City expansion

" At the start of battle , you may roll 1 die and add the result to your attack score . You may only do this once per battle .

Whenever you use the Bow, you must either discard 1 gold or discard the Bow."

The first thing we can notice is that the Bow is not classified as a weapon... but there is something even more interesting.
Why do we discard 1 gold? For a materialization of an arrow? For an oath? How does it really work?

Here the Flash of inspiration, a secret, maybe the same of the Game Makers:
The Bow of Talisman that you find in the Armoury comes from Hyrule, the kingdom of The Legend of Zelda!

Now let me explain:
If you have played the first The Legend of Zelda of 1986 for NES you should remember the special features of this item: every time you use the Bow, YOU THROW 1 ARROW AND LOSE 1 RUPEE (Coin of Hyrule). So... practically arrows and money become the same thing for the gamer. No cash, no arrows...

The Bow of Talisman is the same Bow of The Legend of Zelda!
