Start one for each of the three factions. Like this: CUSTOM REBEL SHIPS, CUSTOM EMPIRE SHIPS, CUSTOM SCUM SHIPS.

That could work but doesn't Slave one count as empire and/or scum faction? Where do i put my conversion? If i had any?

The sub-forum disappearance doesn't make a whole lot of sense, especially since we really have no idea what their internal concerns are with it. I am of the mind that if the threads are fine (which is why they got moved instead of dumped) then there should be no problem with the forum. As many have said, repainting is a big part of X-Wing for some, and it is "almost" required for IA.

Plus, all of our repaint posts get swallowed immediately with the "Nerf PWT!" and "ZOMG FAT HAN IS BROKEN" threads cluttering up the forum.

It is unclear why they chose to merge paint forum.

What is clear is that it is in fact a relief to everyone trying to use this forum for anything positive to have paint threads back into general chat.

The same people complaining over, and over and over about the same stuff is ruining this board. Some people are obviously under the impression if they start a complain thread every other day about what they don't like they will influence everyone to their desired position. Everyone I know is sick of this negativity on this board. Its ok to have a position and voice it. But to try to dominate this board with you whining is not OK. Its just a negative whiney environment.

It is VERY refreshing to see positive threads on this board again. And threads not started by the same whiners over and over...etc.

Well.

After losing the Paint Forum I will say this.

It Has Become more Difficult to Find All of those Excellent paint and custom Modification threads.

Yes it might be good to have positive threads on the main forum.....But they have now been lost into sea of....I won't say it !

But you know what I mean.

I use to really enjoy spending sometimes hours going through all of everyone's custom builds and fantastic re-paints.

INSPIRATION is what is missing now.

Other than a few threads locked on the main board.

I don't enjoy visiting this Forum any more.

What's the point in sifting through all those useless threads to get to something worthwhile.

So much for progress !

Now I must apologise for adding yet another thread that contains someone having a moan.

I understand that it would be a lot of work, but if one dedicated person chose to do it, an index thread could be created and maintained with links to all of the painting sub-forum's former contents. Truth is, it could be even more organized than the former sub-forum ever was. The maintainer could reserve the first dozen replies and then use them like pages in a table of contents to categorize the threads into groupings such as repaints, mods and custom builds. Then as people make new painting related threads, they could just drop a reply in the index thread to let the maintainer know that they have content to add.
