K-wing generics

Well, if i want to include a cheap K-Wing in a list, my default would be

a generic with TLT and RecSpec.

Is this a good build or no?

Depends on how you spend your other points, but there's nothing particularly wrong with doing that.

EI won't work with the K. RecSpec triggers off your focus action; EI specifies an upgrade with the Action: header. It'd work with marksmanship, but no ept slot. You could try Lando, but green dice.

He is talking about Extra Munitions (EM) to get the extra mines/missiles (he wasn't very specific about what type of clusters) not Experimental Interface (EI) and if he meant cluster mines, EI would work with that build where you could focus and get rec spec and then EI to deploy the mines

The cm seems a imperial weapon because 2 sets of 3 naked red dice enters "might as well not bother" territory

But the empire has:

Bonus (+bombers for cheap em)

AC advance

Redline

The only ord I could see on the k is 5 dice homing missiles from Miranda

On a generic K-wing, I think I'd want Advanced Slam, extra munitions, and a proximity mine or conner net. That's a point cheaper than TLT and recon spec. And unless there's something special about them, like an EPT or they're the same cost, I can't think of many reasons to run the PS4 K-Wing. The nice thing with mines is you get to deploy them earlier if you're low PS.

I'd agree with the earlier poster that TLT seems best on a Y-Wing. They're significantly cheaper than a K, only a shield less durable, and if you put a turret on a K-Wing you probably don't want to be SLAMing too many turns, as you can't shoot afterwards.

thats why im not puting advanced slam on it. An i like k-wings better, and the rec give modified dice for BOTH attacks.

Well, if you like 'em better, you should definitely go for it. I don't think it will be bad build, but you are giving up the K-wings unique action (most of the time). the TLT gives you at least one three dice attack at all ranges, and if you want to maximize that turret, I suppose recon spec is the best way to modify your shots (or sometimes have a focus for defense). You'd really want to stick that ship at range three so you get the bonus defense die and your opponent doesn't.

What about a cheap one with Intel Agent on it? See your opponent's dial and slam in front of it.
