It's not going to win any inititive wars, but it's bringing a stripped down heavy laser DD build and fitting in a third target lock for vessery on a package that is moderately survivable. Dark curse will kinda be the first thing that dies... but we KNOW that going in, so once we have a target lock it's all evade all day.

Not necessarily. Dark Curse scares ppl for some reason. You might find opponents that won't shoot at him, even if he has no defensive tokens!

The biggest problem I see for this list is the delta. He really wants double actions to be good (TL + focus) since there's a decent chance he'll have to take unmodified attacks (at PS1 he'll often be spending his focus on defense). 4 attack is not stellar without dice modification...

Vessery will be a super star though. Might want to consider Vet. Instincts on him just so you have one ship shooting before and moving after super dash (also helpful vs. aggressors).

Yeah, I don't care about Dark Curse's 2 attack die. I do care about that accurate HLC on Vessery. Vessery would be my first target no questions asked. Then I'm going after the Delta. I don't love the TC on Dark Curse, but it does give you another TL option for the Colonel. You could also try Nightbeast with TC and MKII. He can grab a TL and Focus each turn with a green maneuver. He won't be as durable as DC, but he might provide a bit more offense.

Duh...Don't know why I thought about taking two Mods. Would be pretty sweet though.
