What spoilers? There are two new TIE fighters and a new X-Wing in episode VII ... all three have either been shown in a trailer or even had a toy revealed.

I know the general toy push is still in September, but surely this gives FFG enough room to announce at least these three ships without giving anything more than product/model shots away?

Other (unrevealed) ships would be right out of course...

I'm also going to predict that the Gencon announcement will have Ep7 TIEs

My coin is on:

1. Episode 7 expansions and/or new core set with Ep 7 ships (compatible with the current game + includes some upgrades to X-Wing)

2. Aces Packs (with fix for X-Wing)

3. Scenario packs (which I have been screaming for for a long time). A few folk are getting bored with the standard Death Match with 6 obstacles. Scenario packs will include a piece of terrain and new rules/scenarios which implement them.

OK, the last is very unlikely .. but I think it'd be a breathe of fresh air for the game.

So if they announce Ep VII expansions (which seems likely to me), will they be new ships for the existing Empire & Rebellion factions, or will there be new Resistance and First Order factions?

There is no way LFL is going to allow them to announce Episode VII content at the end of July. Some of the other companies have a little bit more weight to pull with LFL, but FFG is small fry.

Are you saying Disney are going out of their way to harm smaller licencees? Because that's what they would be doing by saying that FFG cannot release the same information as other toy companies, or indeed that Disney have already released through their own trailers.

No doubt there'll be a long list of restrictions to navigate, but FFG is good at carefully laying out card spreads and the like to avoid giving out information.

First of all I never expect to see an x-wing 2.0 the way they release rules they just add to changing the metagame e.g. all the releases for wave 7 seem to be aiming at reducing the effectiveness of big ships with loads of double ion's and example of ramming a cluster mine down the throat of a falcon with the punisher.

Technically we are on x-wing 6.0 as each set of new fighters changes the game

FFG will not be looking at releasing anything pre episode 4 unless it was used in 4-6 too and extended universe after all this is the era x-wing is set in.

If they are going to announce any new goodies it will probably be rebels:Rogue Shadow, Imperial:Tie Sentinel, Scum: Punishing One and G1-M4-C Dunelizard.

FFG always seem to announce the next wave just prior to the release of the current wave to keep people wanting more, I know I do and usually to the point I forget how much I was waiting for the current wave.

Thinking about it a more realistic guess would be a big announcement for Armada e.g. wave 3 or a 6'x3' game mat

Next wave of ships for Armada (wave 2 or 3, depending on what they put out for sale at the show).

Expansions, ally/enemy packs, etc., for Imperial Assault. I don't know- have they made a Lando thing yet?

Next expansions for SWLCG.

A standalone board game in the Ep7 setting. It could be a "find the traitor" game like Battlestar Galactica, a tactics game like XW or IA, a grand strategic wargame in the vein of Twilight Imperium or Forbidden Stars (ooo, what if Forbidden Stars is a prototype of the Force Awakens board game?), something mission-based like SW Queen's Gambit, or something completely different!

And with 4 minutes left in their session, they'll announce something for XW. I predict something Ep7 like a First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter expansion and a (whatever the good guy team is called) New Blue X-Wing expansion. Other guesses at a new starter box seem pretty good too (lock in new players, get all of us old players to buy another $40 starter box [all the same basic content as the original version but with Ep7 ships and pilots], all as fast as China can paint the minis). What else? I don't think we'll see content from the Rebels cartoon yet, but a Scum equivalent to the Punisher/K-Wing (Hurrg Scurrg thing? Mist Hunter?Jumpmaster 5000?) seems like a good guess too.

^^ This. An "Episode VII" Aces pack is something I haven't thought about, but it makes a lot of sense! Dare I say, perhaps with two new TIEs and one X-wing?

Raider and wave 7 won't come out for months, if ever, and everyone expects pics of 2.0 core set and aces this and that. Really? We will be lucky to have any kind of announcement from FFG about Xwing, much less any teasers about new waves and stuff. The best I'm hoping for is a few hints at what wave 8 will have, most likely rebel/imp/two scum like 7. Probably no pics of episode 7 stuff but maybe, just maybe a mention they will in fact use those ships at some future date. I'm not holding my breath for any of this though.

Edit: Wouldn't be surprised if Wave 7 was out at the end of the month either, considering we've had a preview every Monday for the last five weeks.

Wave 8 containing a Force awakened X-wing & Tie fighter, punishing one & mist hunter.

And a Scum epic in the form of a Wild Karrde.

That would be neat in the sense that it would mean all the ESB bounty hunters will have been released/announced and each faction would have an epic ship.
