I didn't say I wanted a new core book, just that a book on the Empire would be useful. It could collect all the info on the Empire that is scatered between other books. Consolidate and expand on how the Empire works. Notes on rank, new equipment, specializations unique to the Empire, the Emperors Hands maybe.
Being as how the Empire can serve as the enemy for all three lines it would be a **** useful book. As a bonus notes for playing and running an Imperial game would be nice.
Sure this is all info I could gather from the Wookiepedia but that can be said of any give sourcebook for this game.
yeah they are not likely to do that. As it segments their market off. If they do an imperial book I expect it will be like a region book. New imperial gear. Imperial planets, Imperial procedures and the like. A little something for everyone but with an imperial theme.
What I am finding I want is a book of gear...guns, sabers, melee weapons, armor, etc. I love the system but it's tough some times having to pour through the books to find a specific piece of gear.

Well, frankly this is because the books FFG is releasing is like the system itself: Focused on narrative concepts more than stat blocks. There's a consolidated index of pretty much everything in the first post on another thread.
I hope they don't start making just raw splat-books. That gets tedious. It's already bad enough that we can expect to have 18 separate specialization books at $30 a pop. I like the game, but there's better things I can find to spend $600 on.

I suggest this index. It's a little out of date, but the developer is working on updating it.
