They Wanted to Name Him Egyptian Guy

By Shaneth, in UFS Deck Building

Jeremy Ray: "Everybody wanted James to print this guy as 'Egyptian Guy.' Seriously, who WOULDN'T want to play as EGYPTIAN GUY?!?!?!"

Here's my current Rashotep deck. Still tweaking it, but I just wanted to post it as is to get some feedback.

It's off Earth. I'm going off memory, but I'm sure it's clear.

1x 6/6 Bryan Fury (Earth/Evil/Fire) +0M
2x 4/3 1M4 Flooded Nile Throw (Earth/Death/Void) +3H
2x 4/5 Dead for 1000 Years (Earth/Death/Void) +3H
3x 2/4 Undisputed Ruler (Earth/Death/Void)

I believe this is the deck. I'm not sure if I had Hungry for Battle in the deck or not. Either way, I wouldn't imagine it would fit because this deck is flooded with 5CCs, so at the least Hungry would most often give a +1dmg boost, which is what Bracers of Horus and Set do for free.

The deck checks REALLY well.

The purpose is to sit back and control with Rashotep support, Siegfried support, King support, and Stand Off. Rashotep support (as well as Memories of a Nightmare) can discourage opposing kill turns by blanking necessary pieces. Torn Hero discourages Stun, which is prevelent with the advent of Paul Phoenix and his goodies. Enemies Now Friends works both defensively and offensively. If you can redux an attack down to 2dmg with stuff like Stand Off, some extra Memories of a Nightmare, and possibly Man Behind the Mask, then Enemies Now Friends is golden.

When you have a decent offensive setup, such as Bracers, Path, Unstoppable Warriors, all you'll need is 3 throws at the most to kill. Bloodline Rebellion can help fetch more throws.

Dead for 1k Years happens to be the MVP of this deck. It's a savior when you are staring down 4x Hungry for Battle or 4x For the Money.

I maindeck Killer Android mainly for the low block, as playable low blocks are very rare in this format. It also comes in handy when people want to destory my Path or whatever. If they don't have an asset to pop, then you can pop one of your other assets to keep Path handy. Killer Android is also ballin tech vs Kazuya.

I side to Bryan Fury whenever I feel like I need to be more aggressive. Most notable side ins would be against any low vitalirty character. With the way my deck works, I would also side in Bryan if my opponent is Astaroth.

I am thinking of dropping 1x Double Crown and adding in 1x Path of the Master. Path just seems too good when you're tossing your throws out there and give the 3rd one +7dmg. Plus you can also play out three foundations and then a throw and give it +11dmg right there.

Some downsides of the deck are bad drawing. You can fetch throws with Bloodline Rebellion, but if you don't get Unstoppable Warriors, your kill turn will be much harder. This is why I am probably going to add that 3rd Path of the Master, or side to Bryan Fury each game because he has that built in Unstoppable Warrior!!!

Honestly if you're using Bloodline Rebellion, I'd suggest keeping only 2 PotMs - You can fetch them by calling Unique.

Thing is tho, if I'm only playing 2x Path, then the consistency of nabbing it with Bloodline Rebellion is extremely slim.

I play 12 throws. I need any of them for my kill turn.
I play 8 uniques. I would like to have out at least one of two of them.

It's kinda pointless calling Unique for popping Bloodline Rebellion if the chances are slim. Calling Throw is a better play with that card.

I tend to go for necessity over want when it comes to BR. Then again I tend to play it in decks that have mostly Tekken 6 attacks which means the E becomes relevant so it's more of a "oshi I didn't get PotM yet".

Would just adding another PotM suffice though? It's not a bad check, not a bad block and due to Infinity you can block with it dual-symbol.

POTM really isn't THAT necessary for a kill, but it makes it a lot easier. I think running 3 will be fine.

After all, taking out that Double Crown leaves 2x Double Crown, so when I side to Bryan Fury I can side in the 2x Flooded Nile Throws for them.

Why don't you try running just tekken throws that way you get more use out of Bloodline? If your worried about unstoppable just switch it with heir to the storm. I know that is not the best trade off but it is still a good damage pump without the second enhance. It will also let you play 4 copies of bloodline if you so choose.

You could try something vaguely Polka-esque and run Flinging Half Nelson alongside Crocodile Grasp + King's other High Throw, there's definitely a lot more damage there if you can handle the (likely 8x) 2ccs

Yeah, the Tekken throws usually don't front a printed 5dmg. On average, I usually get 1 to 2 Bloodline Rebellions out in a game, and they are most often used to pop and get more throws.

I totally forgot about Heir to the Storm. I don't think I'll switch it with Unstoppable Warrior, but switch it with something else as it'll give me more of a damage pump. Thank you sir.
