Ken iz Gud...Good Ken deck

By HolyDragonCloud, in UFS Deck Building

With the self-inspiration from my article on the Good symbol, and the recent discovery of new Promo Ken having the Good symbol, and him being my favorite character and all, I've produced a deck that I particularly find funny. It needs work though, I'm sure.

Ken's Abilities:

6HS/28VIT

E Commit: This attack gets minus X damage. X equals half this attack's damage (rounded down)

As of now we assume that since it does not say printed damage, it is specifiying whatever the damage of the attack is at the time of use of this Enhance

F Commit: Your opponent gains X vitality and commits X of his/her foundations. (Next part i'm not too sure on) X equals the difference between your opponent's current vitality and max vitality.

Characters: 1

1x 6Dot Ken

Assets: 7

3x Olcadan’s Mentoring 0/6

2x Assassination Arts 3/5

2x White Gi 2/4

Actions: 3

3x Tag Along 5/4

Attacks: 11

4x Stardust Drop 6/3

4x Ichi no Tachi 3/3

3x Feline Spike 7/1

Foundations: 42

4x White Magic 1/5

4x Arrogant and Insolent 2/5

4x Antisocial 2/5

4x Holding Ground 2/4

4x N-Type Human 1/5

4x Amy’s Assistance 2/4

3x Fight or Flight 2/4

3x Lone Wolf 2/6

3x Healer 1/4

3x The Red Lotus of the Sun 2/5

3x Ways of Punishment 2/5

3x Shooting Caporea 2/4

Side Board:

4x Undercover Agent

3x Destiny

1x Tag Along

Following things one notices when looking at the deck:

1-No Family Heirloom. Reasons:

a-Way too overpriced, not worth it money wise, especially if Steel's Bane, as we all hope, gets the watermark. Then I'll fit those bad boys into my deck if anything.

b-Asset side is near useless to me if I'm using White Gi. White Gi and N-Type Human Synergize perfectly-literally both cards compliment and make each other better. White Gi's Enhance lets you go balls out using all of your N Type Humans to strip your opponents hand and eat your opponent up with Spikes while putting 4 cards into your hand.

2-Ways of Punishment/Bust a Cap splashed in

I refuse to just rely on N-type human as my hand discard. *** is in as a backup option. Bust a Cap is to fuel my incredibly defensive wall of foundations, particularly Arrogant and Insolent, which shines in this deck.

3-No BRINGING DA MASTA TO HIS KNEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

I don't think I'll absolutely need it. Shutting off responses severely hurts my Defensive strategy via Arrogant and Insolent and Lone Wolf to refill my hand. Same for Enhances.

4-Destiny is sideboarded.

I'm not always going to run into BRT/Forethought. If my opponent is not running that type of deck (which will be quite likely in Block 3), I rather not have 3 dead cards in my deck.

5-Spinning Beat is absent

Good lacks a method of spot momentum gen (Such as Lord of the Makai)-all of it's momentum gen comes at once-White Gi at the end of the turn, White Magic on your opponents turn, and N-Type Human only when both myself and my opponent have momentum. As such, I may not always be able to satisfy the requirements of having enough momentum for both Beat and Spike. Stardust Drop made it instead because it is a throw that can provide me the extra momentum i made need at any given time thanks to it being a throw.

Anyway, basic premise is simple. Turtle to high heaven and back. Holding Ground, Healer, AA, FoF on multiple copies, Ken himself, Arrogant and Insolant/Lone Wolf to refill my hand and keep Ken ready. Antisocial is an absolutely amazing card both foundation and action wise. Feline Spike for the kill.

I was thinking of sticking a few copies of Free Will. but other than that, let me know what you think!

a very good (bad pun) deck. ken is a charecter who in block 3 may be beter of good than any other symbol. (due to the decline of all, and void is bad now.)

lol why dont u just run void and splash the good foundations u want

he has a dirty combo with juni's spral arrow to keep them locked down all game btw

and ive seen what void has u just cant be a non attacking foundation bum anymore void still has some good stuff
