What sort of titles you think the Raider may have?

By Krynn007, in X-Wing

Was just playing around with the squad builder for the Raider and just realized we still haven't had any of the titles spoiled for it, or at least that I know of

This is a new ship designed by Lucas Arts and FFG so obviously as far as the name of the ship, we won't know.

But as for abilities, what do you think the Raiders' title will have?

I think I saw two evade tokens in a stock photo, so I think it's safe to assume it'll have a title that's pretty well similar to a bright hope for the rebel transport

Now if that title will increase the amount of energy like the bright hope remains to be seen.

I'd say it's pretty safe to assume though that one or two of the titles will increase the amount of energy that can be stored.

I have a feeling it'll have a title that'll help friendly ships increase their dmg, or defense, but not help with action economy.

Imperials are not about synergy as much as rebels but more about numbers.

Be cool idea, title that has a deploy feature that you could instead of during setup phase. Putting out ships, you could opt to deploy one or maybe couple ships (not all at once) at start of combat.

Be a cool way to have a ship or two to help the Raider if enemy fighters get close

Or maybe the title be something like the one from houndtooth, except it costs 8 pts and you can deploy a free tie fighter and discard title, and you don't have to wait until the ship is destroyed

Probably not lol. As i think it sounds cool, may not be as good as I think it sounds lol

Maybe a title you can discard that will regain all shields to one section?

Or maybe a title that makes it so the Raider can go one round and not be targeted?

Can't wait to see what they have for it

Any ideas or assumptions?

Evade tokens are for the Advanced, not the Raider.

Ahh ya, lol totally forgot about that

I'd kill for a title that gives the Deploy action...

In the production shot there is Impetuous which reads after you destroy a ship with an attack you may acquire a target lock. Underneath that is Ins___, Insidious? Underneath that one is a title that starts with an A and like in-something we don't know what they do.

As for evade tokens huge ships cannot use evade tokens, instead they have the reinforce action which acts as a persistent evade for a section. It always adds 1 evade result no matter what range or how many times it defended that turn.

I hope one has extra crew slots.

The Emperor is going to need a lot of state rooms. :)

I predict that one will be cheap, with only a minor boost to something small, one will be moderate, with a medium boost to a couple of aspect, including some extra energy storage, and the third will be expensive, with a huge boost to a lot of performance, including a massive increase in energy storage.

I think it would be cool if one (or more) of the title cards dovetailed with the crew that comes with the Imperial Raider. For example, one that would make Tarkin even more amazing would be "Once per round, after a ship spends a focus token, or a focus token is removed from a ship at range 1-4, you may choose to assign a stress token to that ship."

I think you're onto something here.

With the emperor taking up all the crew slots on the Raider, there simply has to be a title that would let you put another crew or two with him. Otherwise you don't have the options to field interesting crew combinations with Palpatine.

Thematically, Palpatine and Vader should be able to go one a huge ship together.

Prince Amir of Kinjan

A good trick for imperial ship naming conventions: the name should make you ask "is that a decepticon?"

Doom

Crusader

Crystal Skull

Overtly and needlessly sinister titles that end with "or"

Eviscerator
Interrogator
Intimidator
Aggregator
Calculator
Ameliorator

Ameliorator

not even slightly sinister~

The Meduza:

During the Set-up Phase, you may choose not to deploy up to 4 small-based ships.

Action: Deploy a small based ship, that ship may immediately make an attack or perform an action.

Oicun's Revenge: Ignore feedback damage when ramming another ship.

My Ship names: Tranquil Fury (Ship has a cloaking device)

Huntress

Ann

Nancy (I usually have a ship named either of this, if so they are always of the same class, sister ships - bonus points for getting the reference).
