COMIC CON Star Wars Video

By Cubanboy, in X-Wing

WOW, Just wow

Actual costumes. Actual sets. Actual starships...its an actual Star Wars movie.

... that's more like it!

:D:wub::lol:

So they listened to Mr. Plinkett.

I just shed a tear. I cannot repel greatness of this magnitude.

Wow, can't believe they are making this movie just like the previous six!!

Rather like original 3. Ep1-3 barely had any practical effects

That is incredibly untrue. There's a huge thread on the tfn forums that shows all the practical effects the prequels had.

While the prequels did use a lot more practical effects than most realize, the vast majority were still CGI. That includes almost all of the sets, aliens, ships, CIS droids, clone troopers, etc. The stormtroopers in Episode VII are actual people in armor, the droids are physical and some of them (R2 & BB-8) are pretty much actual robots, the aliens are mostly puppets. And the production team, cast, and crew actually seems to give a **** about it.

That was incredible!

Our first look at Leia in costume was unexpected.

It had sofas....lots of sofas.

A big part of what made the prequels bad was how fake everything looked on screen you knew it wasn't real, the actors had nothing to work off and it showed in their performances.

Full credit for real sets but lots of bad movies have real sets don't get your hopes too high jarjar has still never delivered a great movie.

WOW, Just wow

I am in San Diego now for the Con (and decent Mexican food).

Three Questions.

1. Is it December yet?

2. Isn't it a great time to be a Star Wars fan?

3. As I saw the reel, WHY WERE MY EYES LEAKING?

I'll probably cry at the first screening of Ep. VII

For those who have not seen the Star Wars panel two cool spoilers.

Domhnall Gleeson will play The First Order's General Hux. T

The Imperial base will be called "Starkiller" base, a nod to Luke Skywalker's original name.

The usage of CGI was the least of the PT's problems.

What he said.

And that poor direction does not make good film, looking at you Jabba the Lucas

Don't, Im sure it won't be as bad as JJTrek.....hopefully

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Sorry, had to get that out of my system so I don't do it in the theatre.

Initially I thought it looked pretty silly, but it looks better the more I see of it.

Heheheh. That's what I've been thinking this entire time.

Yups... no shame either. I am a very young 40-something and I cried like a BIG DOPE!

... then I giggled like a school boy on the playground. I was there as a child for the first STAR WARS... this new deal IS also STAR WARS.

Say JJ... me loves you!

^_^:wub::lol:

Christie is TALL. Fisher barely comes halfway up her arms lol.

So you've not seen Game of Thrones then I take it.
