I'm kinda OCD when it comes to having all the components for board and miniatures games, and in X-Wing they're extremely easy to lose.

So... aside from buying more core sets, what's the best place on the web to get extra tokens?

My friend once you get into x-wing as deep as most of us you'll be asking how to store 200 shield tokens.

As you buy expansion you'll get plenty.

What tokens do you need?

Each small ship comes in a 6 by 3 inch or so bag, use those for each type of token and upgrade card.

When you start out you can get away with using the smaller zip locks for tokens and the larger ones for cards.

By some 'loom band' elastic bands off ebay, they hold target locks together.

As other rightly say.... shortage of tokens is not something you will find to be a problem unless you're incredibly careless with yours or have a house rule where you eat them when you use them.
