I'm trying to find a good folding and portable table to use with X-Wing. Most card tables and such are usually too small. Making one is out of the question since my woodshop skills is limited to making a cutting board in high school 20 years ago.

Any suggestions?

I found an old dinning table on the side of the road, free for council rubbish pick up, fixed the broken leg and a light sand and left over stain lacker, it fits the 3 x 3 mat with heaps of room to spare. Just keep looking.

Its not portable, but anything bigger than the 3 x 3 mat will be a big table to transport.

Card table and 4x3 plywood. Have the lumber yard cut into 2x3 and hinge or dowel ths pieces. Doweling would be better, no lumps.

4x8 peg board 8 bucks.. cut in half place on ANY table place mat on board and play... or alternatively 4x3 tri fold display board about same price. less weight but can be bumped easier. can play directly on it if you get the black one.not nearly as durable. since I was beaten to the punch I will add the peg board is much cheaper than plywood and lighter..lol also some places sell precut 4x4 versions. (LOWES) cut to 4x3 so you have space for your cards and tokens etc...
