Spark of Rebellion Full Release!

By Drathen, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I certainly would love to have a hard copy myself.

Are there different 'to print' files for this? Or was that made with the PDF that's available?

This looks very nice Jaspor. I'm also curious as to when the print files will be made available.

So we have not made the files for the print version publicly available, at least not yet. If you are interested, shoot me a private message and I'll provide some additional details.

You all made a work of art that's worthy of Star Wars...you created a wonderful thing! Feel nothing but pride, no matter the opinions of others.

Yeah.

So, taking off my RPG hat and speaking only for myself, so long as we provide only the PDF file that contains the main contents of the book, I think we’re more likely to be viewed by FFG and Disney/Lucasfilm as a group of moderately OCD and slightly insane fanboys, and at least somewhat less likely to have the full weight of the respective legal departments come down on us like a crapton of bricks.

If we were to provide all the files we created for this book, they might start thinking that we’re trying to make some sort of a weird a profit off their Intellectual Property, and then we would be much more likely to be dumped into the Marianas Trench of Legal Sewage.

Keep in mind that this is just my personal view, and should not be construed to reflect in any way the official position of Rancor Publishing Group.

Now that Keeping the Peace has released the official stats for the VCX-100, do you plan on updating the document to reflect this?

Nope. I believe this version is locked in as is. In a discussion about this very topic I came to my own conclusion that the official stats are for the stock mode. where the Spark version is more like Hera's modified ship. More for my own idiosyncrasies.

It's a snapshot of our thinking at the time as much as anything else. Also, we'd simply be reprinting FFG's work verbatim, and I don't see any benefit to that. Legalities notwithstanding.

At the outset of this project we knew that a lot of stuff could potentially be rendered obsolete over time, either by FFG or the show itself. We had to either make our peace with that, play it super safe (aka boring) or apply a little creative license here and there.
