My problem with the K-Wing is the obvious missiles latched under the wings.

Clearly those are all individual launch pods. That they stuck out on poles. For ease of... maintenance. Because there's so many of them, you see, and they learned their lesson after the ground crews started leaving the panels off the Y-wing all those years previous that if it's a pain to maintain, the crews'll just cheat at it to get on with the rest of their to-do list. So you might as well design from the outset to have everything nice and easy to reach, aesthetics and compactness be damned.

The Imperial doctrine actually bothered with proper worker performance reviews, so they can pile all those launch systems into the compact multi-weapon pods, and they'll still get fixed up anyway lest disciplinary action gets your ass fired.

The TIE Punisher is a thing of beauty, in a sledgehammer sort of way.

I'd say:

- 2 Y-Wing cockpits, welded together.

- 2 B-Wing main fuselages, for the long wing.

- 2 B-Wing sfoils, for the landing/bomb-laden wings.

- 3 E-Wing engines.

- 1 Clone Wars-era Y-Wing turret.

- 1 Republic Attack Gunship turret.

- Salt.

- Pepper.

Mix together until a monstruosity comes out.

And remmeber, in StarWars, the uglier the ship, the prettier it is.

I think they both look great. The Punisher, as all other Empire military hardware, is modular and bare bones. The K-Wing is akin to an A-10 with Rebel flavor added.

Came in here to talk about actual Scum Uglies...not sure what I was expecting. Shows me.

People complaining about the Punisher and K-Wing (or E-Wing, or whatever) you're absolutely entitled to your opinion. Please just don't be a jerk about it.

As for proper Legends Uglies, I was on Wookieepedia the other day and found out that Kavil and his pirate gang (Kavil's Corsairs! How cool is that?!) primarily used Z'ceptors, along with Kavil's customised BTL-S3 Y-Wing. I think that is freaking awesome. I would absolutely love a Z'ceptor as a Scum small ship: it's got two cannons from the Squint wings, the two Headhunter cannons, a bloody Y-Wing turret up top, and an Astromech (for a nose, but still!).

You'd be looking at a mix between the Y-Wing and the X-Wing, probably 3ATK with both a Salvaged Astro slot and a Turret slot. Not sure what the Legends say about its agility or flight capabilities but I think it would make for a nice solid customisable mid-point fighter for Scum à la the B-Wing. Depending on how heavy you wanted to make it, I would buy either 5HP behind 2AGI or even 4HP with 3AGI, depending on squad point cost. However, I must say I'd rather it be a Scum faction only ship, given its hodgepodge nature.
