Please help me fill out my squad. The only requirements: two VSD-2s and a 300pt game. What to do with the remaining 130 pts? Which commander is best? Thanks!

If you have two imperial fighter packs you could go for a full 'long range bomber' strike.

That is what I would do if I'd opt for 2x VSD at 300 points.

i've ran 2x VSD's three times now and have settled into using this as a base list:

howlrunner

soontir fel

6x tie fighters

This base list clocks in at 276 points. The last 24 points I use for some combination of these upgrades:

flight controller (6pts)

dominator title (12pts)

xx9-turbolasers (5pts)

tie fighters (8pts)

I think admiral motti works well, he is cheaper and makes your VSD's beefy. Tarkin would be nice but to be honest while playing I'm never thinking I really need the xtra command from him. With a well timed squadron command (and flight controller) you can really tear up enemy fighters with fel, howl and a few ties. Dominator is awesome, especially if it happens to be on the VSD the enemy is not concentrating fire on. xx9s are ok, think my next game I might swap them out for hanger bays or an ion canon. Extra ties can't hurt either, rebel ships are hearty.
