2 questions:

1. what happens if a figure swims from the river's edge to the stream, but there's already a figure on the water space that's closest to the river's edge? do they move to the next available water space, or does nothing happen?

2. what does place the figure along the edge of the waterfall "nearest the stream" mean? and what happens if that/those spaces are occupied?

1+2. Closest available empty space- you cannot block the special swimming/jumping actions in this quest by blocking the spaces where the figures are supposed to be placed. However, if you can block the spaces where the figure needs to be to PERFORM the action, remember that you can't interrupt a movement in an occupied space- so that would work for slowing someone down.

"Nearest to" in this case does not imply counting spaces, it implies straight line, real-world distance. If you consider the map oriented based on the quest guide, with the heroes starting toward the top, and the place where everyone needs to exit near the bottom, then what "nearest the stream" means the space closest to the stream in terms of left and right as well as up and down.

I'm about to start playing "The Shadow vault" quest. I have a question that I'd like to know the answer before starting.

The set up says 3 open groups, but the 3rd group have no place to start. It can be used only as reinforcements, and only one monster per round, as I understood. Is that correct?
