Maneuver tool - YAW clicks question.

By Lordxeno, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

So in the reference guide it says:

When a yaw value of “-” increases by one, it becomes

“I.” When a yaw value of “I” increases by one, it

becomes “II.” The yaw value “II” cannot be increased.

So right now the max we can turn is "II" with our current ships, in future waves we may get a "III" ship, In this case a maneuver command would only do a "+/-" to speed. So what's the point of the arrow marks on the tool that go past "II" clicks in the current game wave?

Well the maneuver tool doesn't allow for 3 clicks. My bet is we're just not going to see a Yaw value 3 movement rate.

It you straighten out the tool, there are only 2 clicks to either the right or left it can go.

A Nebulon B at speed three has -/I/II from memory. If you do a Navagate Command you get one extra yaw, the II cannot be improved as the tool doesn't allow it. So, you could go and make your move I/I/II or - /II/II.

If you get a very nimble ship in a future wave the either the ship will come with a maneuver tool specific for it, which is doubtful, or the ship just gets a crazy turn chart: II/II/II/II the ship could also be given special rules that give it engine techs to allow speeds greater than 4 or even a funky move, for example: Move the ship one speed value higher then move it back in a straight line 1 speed. (II/II/II then back -)
