Is Scum Firespray + YY a competitive list?

What pilots and upgrades would you use?

I'm assuming that's 2x Y-Wings?

Yeah, probably. An ace, and two flankers; an older archetype, but it checks out. I've not seen any noise about this incarnation, though.

The largest problem is that the Y-Wings are in the bottom 3 for mobility, and have the fewest green maneuvers in the entire game. Makes 'em rather hard to aim, but the BTL-A4 can pack quite a wallop.

To really cheese the initial gap you can place Y's at 45 degree angles and snake two 3 turns to gain some more ground.

Don't underestimate them with Ion Turret and BTL-A4. Best with R4 Agromech, but if you're concerned about keeping up Unhinged isn't a bad choice and it saves a couple points. Really though, A4 with R4. It's Pro.

I reckon it is reasonably competitive - I've made top 16 with Boba & 2 ys twice at local regionals.

Boba has: VI, Engine, Gunner, Inertial Dampeners, Seismic charges

Both ys have: ion turret, title, unhinged.

Yep 2 x 24 point Warthogs + 52 point Kath or Boba is quite effective, though what you spend you 13-14 upgrade points on the FS can dictate how the list flies

Looks fun to me. I've always been a fan of "one guy with his two indentical(ish) flankers" lists.

I've run Boba with 2x btl-a4 ion Y wings and I've run it with autoblaster Y wings (no title)

I think I prefer the autoblaster Y wings, but definitely a lot of fun.

Boba had Lone Wolf, Engine and Gunner and makes a pretty decent flanker.

I would be very interested in trying a board control Emon with two ICT Y wings. Something around the lines of:

Emon w/ Andrasta, Glitterstim, Tactician, Cluster mine, Cluster mine, Seismic charge

Thug w/ ICT, R4, BTL-A4

Thug w/ ICT, R4, BTL-A4

You could change up the loadout on Emon a bit (K4, Recon Spec, ID all come to mind, as does EI), and it might be worth it to drop the R4's in order to free up a few points to change things around a bit. You could also take the Slave 1 title and forgo the Seismic charge to save 4 points.

I think that could work, but I'd also be interested in Firespray+YYZ.

2 Autoblaster Ys and a Pirate is 52 points. 48 Points is plenty to have a healthy Firespray. It's a lot of area denial and blocking to push ships where they don't want to go.

I played one the last night of league and did well with it.

Kavil, Blaster Turret, R4 Agromech

Syndicate Thug, Ion Cannon Turret, Unhinged Astromech, BTL-A4 Y-Wing

Boba Fett, Heavy Laser Cannon

If you are going to run them as warthogs, I'd suggest either unhinged, or my favorite is using the R4 with engine upgrade and the title. It's the best of all worlds. extra damage from the agro and mobility to bring those guns to bear.

I would also consider running them without the title if I were you. it's hard to overestimate the utility of a turret.

I like a firespray with kavil with blaster and R4, then a thug with ion. in this build, you have 2 major threats. Kavil throws 4 dice which can then be modified by a TL, he is in some respects a mini decimator, and if you ignore him he will kill you. you also cannot ignore any firespray. It makes target prioritization difficult for your opponent, but of course your escort is more costly as well, and you cannot afford for kavil to get blocked. if you have the points, consider EU or EH for kavil, and EH for the firespray (depending on what you are running.

this list forces your opponent to make tough choices, and allows kavil and kath to cover eachother well. if the go for kavil, kath shows them her backside. if they go for her kavil tears into their flank. the thug is tough and annoying, and the maneuverability of this list will catch your opponent by surprise. Give it a whirl. If your opponent if flying a blok heavy list, consider flying kavil directly behind kath, or range 2 behind her. anyone who slides iin there to block kavil will take a beating from kath.
