3d Terrain for Armada

By WWPDSteven, in Star Wars: Armada

You know, I thought I would sneak it past.

Greeted at home with a "What's Paypal@HELLO?"

Common fellas for every married man out there, change the tag to 3DPrints or something that maybe work related.

And your response should have been, "your replacement if you don't ratchet it down a notch!"

:)

That will work, I'll try that next time!!

Ahhhh... The 50/60's were the days. The women didn't talk back and it was socially acceptable to be slightly drunk 24/7. ;)

Yeah, it hasn't worked out for me, but it sure was satisfying at times!

I just ordered my terrain. Got both sets! I can't wait till they do a ISD, Home One, Raider and MC30!

Congrats, Lyr.

And Stasy, that's not still okay?

Grr got to wait roughly 2 to 3 weeks to get my terrain. . . I blame you Steve ^_~ then again I would never of known about them otherwise. . .

Got mine ordered last weekend.

I hope you guys like it as much as I did! If your space station's arms are warped, don't despair! Run hot water over it for a few minutes and you can easily resculpt it. Good stuff!

Wow. I was looking at these on Amazon a few days ago. I just placed my order directly from them instead!

Amazon? I'm sold these look so good...... i'm sold!

Placed an order because of this thread :)

Same reason that I did. They are going to take some time though. . . About 2 to 3 weeks if you live out of the UK

Haha! I've been wondering how I was going to make some 3D debris fields that would actually look good for ages, and trying to find a cool station isn't super easy.......problem solved!

How heavy are the pieces? I was thinking of magnetising all the individual stands (maybe attach them to 20mm bases) so that ships and squadrons can overlap the obstacles without any fiddly unpinning of things.

Planning on putting down the cardboard counter and then the terrain on top, so easy to remove in case of ship overlap.

I'm conflicted over 3d terrain for a game like Armada. On the one hand, I love the way they look and can make a table look even better. On the other hand, they may just make things more fiddly and could negatively impact the gaming flow. It's the same reason why I only put like one or two trees on a forest template in other miniature games.

Put the obstacle cardboard underneath the 3D obstacle, and then in the case of overlap you can just pick up the 3D portion.
