Almost finished with "Beyond the rim" in my current campaign. (see links in sig) and I have found planning the next adventure in advance helps me when I GM.

The players are as follows

Sion - Male human Smuggler Thief/Pilot, loves smashball

To'Que - Male Twi'lek Hired gun/Gunslinger, follows a type of Marxism

Pasha - Female Human Colonist/Politico, trying to discover her fathers legacy about ancient history (spoilers: Darkstryder)

Jacen - Human Hired gun/Force sensitive Exile (currently AWOL)

The players are in the Minos cluster, I am heavily using the old WEG Galaxy guide 6: Tramp Frieghters as a place setting. The next adventure will have them offered a job to take a traveling troupe of performers and a band through a tour of the Cluster. This will be my final "setting the stage" adventure arc.

Every year, for a weeks time, a grand moot is held in a huge open field a few hundred km north of Tradetown, on the planet yelsain . merchants from all over the cluster are invited to land their ships there and trade goods with the settlers. Almost half of the worlds population attends this huge gathering, and much drinking, singing, fighting, boasting, gambling, carousing, hunting, trading, and spouse seeking goes on.

Nerf Bingo (like earth version of chicken bingo)

Any more ideas? plot hooks?

I really would like some ideas of Bands, and even Music I could play for the battle of the bands. There is only so far you can go with Cantina band #1, cantina band #2, Jedi Rocks, and sail barge music. But I would like some more music I could use that is a bit off from Main stream earther music.

So far for the battle of the bands i got:

Boba Fett and the Assassin droids (Minos' favorite lack of talent band)

Pip and the Percussion droids (a Kowakian monkey-lizard with a bunch of droids he bangs on to make music)

Ithorian Polka Band

Amateur Gammorian Opera singer

Also... if someone would help me make a flyer for this. Or even know someone who would do it for a modest sum, it would be greatly appreciated

The entertainers that hitch a ride with the party are the current core of Red Shift Limit, putting them at odds with and COMPNOR Arts Directorate team that's evaluating the Moot. The band offers the players some additional coin (or perhaps a backdoor chart to Kal'Shebbol) in exchange for running interference with the COMPNOR group so they can get through their set, sell some audio slugs, and hitch a fresh ride offworld without getting arrested.

Well all kinds of rides and cheater carni games seem likely. Fried butterstuffed gooberfish on a stick seems extremely likey. Supposedly fried Fizzyglug is good though....

Seems like there's lots of trouble to get into as well. Various thieves and grifters will be present, spice dealers, heck it's even possible a brave slaver ring might be running some ops on the down low targeting unattended minors.... Kathol has some active sanctioned and unsanctioned slave businesses going on, maybe one of them came out to get some fresh meat. If the kiddo getting bagged is also a grifter that steals a McGuffin from the players.. there's your in...

If it were my group, I'd totally throw in Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes, along with the Max Rebo Band for the fun of it. Definitely would add an all-droid electronica band. I'd probably use an out-there Tom Waits song or something in there for background music. And Throat Singing ! I could also imagine some super intellectual species enjoying free jazz or John Cage style experimental classical.

And don't forget to make lots of jokes about jizz bands . Does anyone know who actually made the mistake of coining that term? And I really hope that it is recanonized.

On on-stage fistfight between D'an and Max over a stolen song would be epic, though that would likely result in disqualification and the inability to hear Reebo's entire hit single "I already told you I'm not an elephant"

IIUC, someone finally wised up and figured out that using the word “jizz” for a type of music wasn’t a good idea. So, they asked for suggestions to replace it. Someone gave them the term “jadz”, which I have been told that they have actually decided to use.

I’ll give everyone — except Haley — a few minutes to look that up in the Urban Dictionary.

As for Haley, let me warn you that is a site you do not want to visit. It might not be blocked by parental filters, but there’s just some things you don’t want to learn about even as an adult. There’s just some things you can’t un-see or un-hear or un-read, no matter how much you might want to.

I found a message board with a google for "Weird music" some of it would work. Even figure out what BFatAD would use for their music, as well as the monkey lizard and the droids.

The Minos cluster is a bit backwater for even Max Rebo and the Modal nodes. Besides the game is currently sitting at 100 days after the Battle of Yavin, and would take 21 days with a class 1 hyperdrive to even get there from tatooine.

Oh good idea, I have been leaving some foreshadowing, and hoping the SECOND campaign is going to be DarkStryder . Might even introduce Gunthar as one of the slaves
