The Summons of the Deep in a mixed format (CCG/LCG) setting:which cards are worth using?

By Yog-Hurtoth, in CoC General Discussion

Now that the entire Summons of the Deep expansion is available, it would be interesting to know which cards people could see themselves using in a mixed format deck. Personally, I like the following:

Military Bike

An obvious one. The ability to Lam after resolving another story seems very powerful. Haven't been able to test it properly, though.

Descendant of Eibon

A good 3-cost charater with an interesting ability.

Summer Classes:

I think this has some potential, particularly if used on Dreamlands Messenger...

cthluhlu -

a single path - very nice stalling effect, especially if you have TGOOR ready.

terror of the tides - nice surprise effect

Julia - cthulhu version - I don't know. monocthulhu is a controlling deck, that relies on having a lot of powerful evnts in hand, swapping them randomly is not good for the deck... we will see.

hastur - aspiring artist, and infernal obsession - artist, even if situational, can give nice early game card advantage. obsession - even if uniqe, can take care of powerfull enemy characters.

honorable mention - Bringer of fire, long dead prince, perhaps stealhy byakhee - then again give me feathery watchers any day.

Yog -

idol of abomination - nice back up character, after, let's say panic. or nodens.

sleep walker - see stealthy byakhee case above.

Shub -

under the porch - shocking transformation like card. works only on black spawns from below, Ygolanacs and ghoul khanums (especially if you have mother's seed in hand.

ghoulish worshipper - in mono shub ith khanums, blask spawns etc. can do sth useful, later it's shocking transformations for him.

insect swarm - nice skill. nice cost. has fast, and if you're lucky will slow down opponent's wests/ mentors/ nodens for a turn. so what's not to like. Nice card to use with gathering influence.

And yes, I play only mythos factions demonio.gif
