Timing Conflict - Raven flock and Reinforcement / at the start of the turn...

By Straangeer, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hi guys the situation is the following:

I'm the Overlord and this is the "start of my turn" so I declared to play Call of The Ravens Overlord card so my Goblin Witcher died and My Raven Flock appeared then "because it is still at the start of my turn i have the opportunity to bring THIS Goblin Witcher back as Reinforcement. My Hero players does not like this timing sollution.

So my question is the following:

1. Am I played right, reinforcement is after "start of your turn" overlord cards?

Thank you for your answers! / THIS IS ASASP/

Both effects trigger "at the start of OL's turn", so OL decides which order they take place.

Yup, the same logic goes for blood rage and end of turn reinforcement, bloodrage your monster and bring it back instantly.

Its in the rulebook somewhere ;)

It's the golden rule, but it has been further clarified by Kara that all timing conflicts (not just those between two players) are resolved by the active player. Therefore, on the OL turn, if two things happen at start of turn, he picks the order in which they happen. The scenario described (kill a monster to place the raven, then reinforce the raven) is perfectly legal.

The heroes don't like it because you did something cool that will negatively impact the game for them. Hero players get frustrated and usually it's 4 against 1. My answer is that they should play better and learn how to deal with threats. It's not my fault as the Overlord, I'm going to do evil things.

Good answer!

It is 4 brains against 1. They should be able to find a way to counter your tricks!
