Lack of product

By mobow213, in Star Wars: Armada

So has there been any word on the lack of product and replacement wave 1 ships and stuff for Armada? The four local Game store says they have no idea on when they get new stock in. Is this just FFG being short sighted, have a long restock time due to limit cap or something else

Anyone else noticing that local game store are getting the short end when it comes to stocking vs the online stores?

My own LGS is, if anything, over stocked.

3 local shops, Newcastle UK, all have plenty of stock.

Most of my local shops have dried up to only a couple items, but the shop I frequent most often the other day just got a whole slew of things I thought we wouldn't see again for a while. Including the long lost fighter packs. So I have no idea what's going on.

My 2 FLGS in Portland Oregon have a huge lack of product for wave 1. It's so popular!

I don't have a FLGS so I'm all online. And I'm seeing some of the items creeping up in price. So I'm thinking that your local spot drying up isn't abnormal.

I now have to reverse my statement. . . Guardian Games just received a HUGE shipment. 4 GSD's, Space Whales, several fighter packs of each. . . It is very nice

The only thing lacking in my FLGS here in Southern California are the Star Fighter packs for rebels and imperials. They've got around a half dozen Frigates and Corvettes, 3-4 GSD and 4 VSD plus 3 core sets.

I need more fighters. =\

There are no Imperial Fighter Packs anywhere in Pittsburgh, nor are there Gladiators.

Assault Frigates are kinda hit or miss. I snagged one of the last ones at a place that I think has seen one Armada game played at it ever (it was that day, and I was playing in it).

Rebel Fighter Packs are about as rare as Assault Frigates right now, but you could at least find them a week after Wave 1 dropped.

VSDs are still on the shelves, and there are a TON of NebBs and Corvettes.

We don't have fighter packs for the Imperials either. We got 5+ rebel fighter packs but only 1 or so Imperial

I'm still awaiting the New Zealand Agent to get their sea freight order of Wave 1...

My own LGS is, if anything, over stocked.

Likewise in Toronto across multiple locations.

Can't keep the product on the shelves here.

The LGS just got a shipment of GSDs and fighter packs of both factions. Already had a couple each of the core ships expansions and 1 core set.

Here in Ogden Utah the shops are sold out for the most part.

I snagged my imperials, 2 of evrything. And then I went back a week later and all I could sang was AFM II.

So looking for them to restock so I can finish the rebel scum. lol

But my thoughts follow the line that sold out means good popularity and success of the game.

I suppose it's a good thing that's there's this much demand for product. It speaks well for the popularity of the game, assuming FFG can ramp up production quick enough to keep up. Hopefully they will use the sales data from wave 1 to more accurately predict how much of wave 2 to produce and avoid this issue in future releases.

Just to confirm what some others have said, I visited another store fairly distant from my common haunt and they too had received a very large shipment with pretty much everything. Seems like some re-stocks may be on the horizon for those of you who haven't been able to find it.

Here in Eau Claire, Wi, we have one game store sold out of everything he can get in, and another a few blocks from him that can't give them away.

I think it depends a lot on how much they ordered, and their over-all client base. The one is more boardgames, the other more comics and card games.

My LGS is just pure crap. They never have anything relevant in stock - so I sort of have to order online.

In the CA Bay Area and we're doing ok. Only lacks it seem were fighter packs. While one FLGS had Rebel Fighter Packs, one on the other end of the bay had lots of Imperials, as well. All FLGSs I have talked to seem to have solid Armada sales.

Our LGS here in Central Ontario is well stocked and as had no problem restocking.

It's good that Armada is selling out everywhere...so long as I already have what I need.
