SAS II Itinerary

By Awaken2, in UFS General Discussion

Hello once again UFS community, I know it hasnt been that long since the last post about the SAS but i have had a flood of emails and/or facebook notes asing me the schedule for the SAS so here is the detailed itinerary for both days.

Saturday October 10th, 9:00am - Signup begins for UFS Standard Singles Event. Please come prepared to the event with a writing utensil as you will need to fill out your decklist and present it along with your entry fee. The entry fee is $20.00 US. This will cover you for both events for both days. If you only want to play in the singles event your entry fee will be $15.00 US. (This is for several reasons, one being to encourage you to stay for teams the next day :P )

Saturday Otober 10th, 10:30am - Round 1 Will begin promptly at 10:30am, so please make sure you come prepared. (dont hold me to this, as iam sure something will happen to cause a ruckus and there will be a 15-30 minute delay) Each round will be 1 hour. When time is called for each round the active player will finish his turn and then the game will be over. The number of rounds depends on the number of players we have for the event. So it could be anywhere from 3 - 20 (just kidding)

Saturday Otober 10th, 1:30pm - There will be a 30 minute break for food, drink and other revalry. Please note that this event is at a local high school, so we discourage bringing any booze into the actual building (looking at you ATL :P ). Getting smashed before or after the event is more than welcomed.

After we finish swiss rounds, the swiss champ will get laughed at because everyone knows he/she will lose the top cuts. Then we will proceed to top cuts. At this time we will take a vote (feel free to send me an email with your vote before hand, [email protected]) We will either do a standard sealed event, or a legacy constructed event. The standard sealed event will be $20.00 to enter, you will get 6 packs of cards, 2 packs from each of the legal sets. If there is a top cut for this it will only be top 4. Same for the legacy event, the top cuts will only be top 4. The Legacy event will have no entry fee.

After the tournament we will present prizes and party like its 1999!

Sunday October 11th, 9:00am - Signup begins for UFS Standard Teams Event. Again please come prepared with a writing utensil as you will need to fill out your decklist and present it. If you only wish to play in teams there will be a $15.00 entry fee if you did not pay the $20.00 for the entire weekend.

Sunday October 11th, 10:30am - Round 1 will begin promptly at 10:30am, again I am sure something will happen to delay this by 15-30 minutes. Each round will be 1 hour, Standard team rules apply. The number of rounds depends on the number of teams we have.

Sunday October 11th, 1:30pm - There will be a 30 minute break for food, drink and other revalry. Please note that this event is at a local high school, so we discourage bringing any booze into the actual building (looking at you ATL :P ). Getting smashed before or after the event is more than welcomed.

After we make top cuts for teams, there will be a Legacy Sealed Event, this event entry will be $5.00 for 6 random packs of cards from the legacy boxes we have available.

Again prizes and partying. A good time should be had by all.

Please remember our resident legend, Vik ( i know he doesnt like being called that, but i gotta encourage people to come somehow) will be on hand for photos and autographs, so bring your copies of Dhalsim!!!

I hope this will be a great event, not only for my own sake but for the sake of the game in this area and all over. A healthy turnout would go a long way to encouraging players not only from this area but from around the nation and world that we are on the upswing and still kicking,,,and punching, and throwing...I'll stop there!

See you in the Southern Arena!

bump, lets to some trash talking too! lol

I will beat everyone...and I'm not even going to be able to attend. How's that for trash talk?

Well I don't normally trash talk, in fact if I manage to defend my title or even Top 8 after nearly a year of inaction it will be a minor miracle.

you sir are too modest

you sir are going to lose to team ATL again.

Don't forget this is the Pro Tour Trial run as well so you could win a plane ticket to GenCon 2010!!!

Btw Awaken, I need a copy of the top 8 deck lists for standard, and teams for your events, so make sure they are legel before the top 8 round begins.

Thanks,

Jason

This is real as the streets.

Just to let anyone who hasnt been in contact with me know the venue has changed to one of our local stores instead of the high school, 2d10 games will be hosting the event instead...any questions just let me know

Address:
4202 Cleveland Ave
Fort Myers, FL 33901
(239) 690-2310

Get HYPE! Atl sets out tomorrow rolling 12 deep!

Another thing, Jay we need to know if there are any cheap, disgusting buffets around the venue. It's kind of a tradition.

Get hype guys and we will see you Friday morning.

there is a golden corral near there, also there is an awesome chinese buffet up the road ...

Alright guys, I'll make this even easier for you who are driving. Here are directions to the store from the highway:

Going southbound on 1-75 (coming from the north):

1. Continue on the highway until Exit 136, Colonial Blvd.

2. Make a RIGHT coming out of the exit (there will be a sign that says to "Lehigh", you want to go the OTHER way which is right).

3. Continue down Colonial Blvd. for a bit, you will soon see an overpass on your left and a path on your right that avoids it. Make sure you stick to the right hand lane, and you will hit Cleveland Avenue (or US 41).

5. Make a RIGHT onto Cleveland Ave.

6. The first traffic light is the Edison Mall, at that light make a LEFT, opposite from the mall.

7. You will see a sign that says "Young's Asian Plaza", make a LEFT into the plaza.

8. The store is in the plaza, 2d10 Games. We will be there waiting!

If you have any further questions, Jay has given the store number, but it's easy to get there really. Hope to see y'all there!

Fawk buffets... I need to know if there's the following to get my tourist food on:

A Fudruckers

A Papa John's

That is all

No Fudruckers, lot's of Papa Johns.

Guys so you know, the store is literally across the street and within walking distance of the Edison Mall, their food court has a lot of options and the main road, 41, is right there. There are a TON of restaurants and fast food to choose from on either side. That won't be a problem lol.

Ha.... Your stuck with a Penstone all weekend... I'm Free....

I mean... Go B-Rad.... Go Go.... Make it to Cuba... Viva La Cuba Libre...
