Spark of Rebellion Preview on D20 Radio

By Drathen, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hello all,

You’ve seen the show. You’ve discussed the characters and the story. You’ve read the thread talking about the fan project to create a source book. The time is near.

The fan made Rebels source book – entitled Spark of Rebellion – is almost ready, and D20 Radio has an exclusive preview. The preview includes a downloadable PDF of the first modular encounter. Based on one of the most intense episodes of Season One, the encounter Are You Afraid of the Dark sends PCs to an abandoned military base that appears to hold some forgotten secrets – and some unfriendly residents.

Go check it out:

The full book is going through final proofreading and revisions and will be available within the next few weeks. The team has been really hard at work to give you that “FFG product experience” as much as possible. We will be continuing through season 2 as well and hope to have a few other side projects done for the community.J

Thanks for everybody who has supported this project. It has been a fun ride to bring this to you and we hope you thoroughly enjoy it!

I have to admit, I was uncertain about this fan supplement. You never know what you are going to get or how it is going to fit in with the official products, etc.. but I am definitely impressed with the preview. If nothing else, it certainly has the look and feel down quite well. And I think the time period of the Rebels series is ideal for any of the three games, potentially better for Force and Destiny than the usual timeframe of just after the first deathstar is destroyed. With the earlier setting it is more likely there are other padawans or overlooked force sensitives out there, like Kanan.

It looks excellent guys. I know I was asked to be involved in this, but real life and other projects have got in the way - those **** responsibilities of holding down a job and being a parent. I'm glad its turned out really well for you, and opens some doors. Great work!
