Another 2 ship Corran build (EE edition)

But this one is a bit different. 2 E-Wings! That's it! I'm not sure if this squad has the staying power with only 11 HP but I just like the idea of it:

It's the fairly typical Corran plus APTorps. I had some points left over so I thought why not. I think they are a pretty good fit on his with the free TL fir his second attack and boosting to get into range 1. You're basically guaranteed a 5 hit shot with a crit from Etahn also getting through. Speaking of Etahn, he and Corran are both doing their shield regen thing with Etahn being about to spend the TL for offense and safe his focus for later either to negate damage if needed if his green dice fail, or to get a shield. I picked Shield Upgrade for him over EU because you are going to want to TL +focus for R5-P9, and also because this squad really lacks in the hit point department. Can this thing win any matches? I haven't flown it yet.

You'd be better off with 6 points of initiative bid.

If only you could have EU and Munitions Failsafe on Horn (you have the points, but he obviously can't take the Royal Guard title to get 2 modifications); as it is, APT are super cost-ineffective.

Massive understatement.

They're the most difficult ordnance in the game to fire, and unless you have double-action already, have a sub-par damage output, and are the most expensive ordnance to boot.

If you have double-action, they produce barely more than Prockets (assuming you also have a double-action and 3 agility).

Note that Prockets have half the cost.

Of course, you're talking about B-Wings here, so we're comparing it to the 4-dice main gun.

With a single action, The primary weapon is expected to deal .5 damage more.

With double-action, you've only gained a single damage, total, for those 6 points. Not damage per attack, just the one damage. For 6 points.

The APTs were at most just a point filler as they both were already modded out to the teeth. I just liked the synergy with PTL giving a boost to get into range 1 and then a focus, and then for shot #2 FCS provides the TL. Yes, I know that a Corran shot at range 1 is already doing 4 dice, so the APT shot only ups it by a single die, but you will get another hit or two out of it. That being said, I'm open to ideas about replacing them as obviously they aren't worth the 6 points. Like I said, I just happened to have extra. I suppose Protons or Ion Torps could be good for getting 4 dice at range 3 without giving the defender an extra green die. OR I could just wait a month or two and give both Corran and Etaht some Plasma Torps.
