I see in every pic of them painted, something different. I was trying to figure it out before I painted mine but finally decided that the officer model has a headset on over his left ear with a mic coming down the side of his jaw. It just didn't look right compared to the other side of the head to me. Anyone else think this?

Well, I made a mistake painting the hair on one of mine so I just gave him a full fledged beard to cover it up. Someone even gave one of theirs an eye patch. I think we all paint them slightly different, whether by mistake or intention.
