  • I played this list twice tonight vs Leebo+Corran Horn list. it faired pretty well. narrow victory game one, and i missed a chance to use inertial dampeners with Kath to get a close range shot on Leebo and i also forgot to advanced sensors before moving through a debris field. my setup was also a little weird and i wasted at least two turns getting IG-88 into good firing position. The dense cluster of obstacles meant i wasnt able to easily approach through the centre, something i need to think about during asteroid placement. His first 2-3 moves were weird and he flew his sips across the board along the back edge for a few turns b4 Leebo headed into his left corner and then up the side of the board. Corran was slippery as always but i manged to take out Leebo and lost Kath giving me a 4pt advantage after time.
  • Game two went much better, he setup on his right corner and i setup facing him on my left. Corran was central and so was my IG-88. i managed to boost into range one (he had title and HLC on Leebo so managed to get in a close range attack with double focus from recon spec. I roll blank, blank, blank, blank, hit and couldnt use lone wolf as IG-88 is still too close. something i need to work on for early engagement is keeping them separated but still able to fire at the enemy. Thankfully my dice come good and after chasing down Leebo and killing him i get shots on Corran with both my remaining ships. I definitely flew better this game.
  • Inertial Dampeners was really good, better than I previously thought. Lone Wolf wasnt used game two and only twice game one. having it there is backup i suppose and i know once i get more settled with flying this list i will be able to better maximize it.
  • I didnt really miss Mangler Cannon, Kaths rear arc was great both games. i played kath quite aggressively game one and perhaps didnt maximise the recon specialist but i was reacting to opportunities when i saw them and used boost to pretty good effect.
  • im pretty happy with the list as is. i think if i made any change id drop one of the inertial dampeners and change Lone Wolf to Predator (this will give me more rerolls on offense with kath and be less hassle keeping my ships more than range 2 from one another) but im going to keep playing with the current list for now.

Your list was very effective. The option to do a white dead stop when revealing is super good. Just a question, I can't remember if you discarded the card after you used it? We played twice and I can't remember if any one ships used it more than once during play. But whatever the case, it can give you a game changing option at a critical moment. :-)

My biggest mistake was changing the upgrades for our second game.

For those reading, my usual list and the one I flew in the first game is:

'Leehorn Predators'

100 Points

Leebo

Outrider

HLC

Recon Specialist

Predator

Corran Horn

R2-D2

Shield Upgrade

FCS

Predator

This has proven to be very strong and successful for me thus far. I know some may question the need to predator on Corran given his FCS, but I've found it gives him a little extra punch on his initial attack on a new target until he aquires the FCS target lock. Not to mention it chews through PS 1-2 pilots.

In the second game I changed the upgrades slightly to the following:

'Corbo Runners'

100 Points

Leebo

Outrider

HLC

Recon Specialist

*Engine Upgrade

Corran Horn

*R5-P9 3

FCS

Predator

*Engine Upgrade

This was a terrible decision for both ships.

For Leebo, EU just doesn't work when facing higher skilled pilots, which both yours were in these games. I wasn't able to gain any advantageous position for either attack or defence and it came at the expense of a double focus, which, given the fact I'd also given up Predator, denied me the much needed rerolls for the HLC.

In the case of Corran, on the face of things it appeared I had more movement options and could still regain shields through using focus tokens while on cooldown or when repositioning. But the reality of it was that I ended sacrificing evade for focus actions during combat in order to recharge and the EU wasn't as effective as I'd hoped.

In short, I'm sticking to my original list. It's strong and isn't really lacking in either attack or defense and, since both ships have barrel roll, they have decent manveurerablity as well.

I really enjoyed playing against your new improved list, it's going to be a strong contender at regionals and I feel if I can somehow beat it with my Leehorn Predators, I'll do alright too.

GG!

Hey Brian, really good games. ur 1st list is def the one to go with. Inertial Dampeners is discarded (flipped down) after one use. its great to have the option throughout the game. I have it on both ships right now and am loathe to take it off now im getting familair with the list.

I am still not maximizing Lone Wolf, which is encouraging as i can still get better with the list with more practice. just going to get in some solo flying tonight and see if i can keep my ships spaced at range2 (or just beyond range 2) :)

Top 8 Sweden Regionals : IG-88B + IG-2000 + Mangler Cannon + Lone Wolf + Advanced Sensors + Inertial Dampeners + Autothrusters; IG-88C + IG-2000 + Heavy Laser Cannon + Predator + Advanced Sensors + Inertial Dampeners + Autothrusters

very similar loadout to my 2 ships.
