Your Favorite Gaming Mats

I haven't bought into Gripmatz yet, but definitely will. I really like how it keeps both the bases and templates very secure while moving. I also have acrylic asteroids so that surface really grips all that stuff.

My favorite is still - after 1.5 years - my homebuilt board:

Outside of a Gripmatz solution, its still the best one I've seen for casual play! (there are now fold lines, and one guy flew off the white 3x3 edge in a tournament)

I love mine! Beautiful hand painted background, durable material, and its rough and tacky, so its harder to bump ships around. It's great.

I too use deepcut's fabric version. It's a lovely object in its own right, and almost looks like a snazzy tablecloth. If you have a sceptical other half, it might appeal to them more! Also as its very matt, it doesn't dazzle you with reflected light all the time! Couldn't be happier with it...

i use a 4ft by 8ft Games Workshop star map for battlefleet gothic

Means we can do huge epic games and if you want smaller areas you fold it, if you want a 3ft by 3ft then you just tape off that amount with masking tape.
