3x Wild Space Fringer, 3x Intelligence Agent, 3x Anti-Pursuit Lasers

By ParaGoomba Slayer, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I flew the 3x ORS version of this list with Navigators. It worked surprisingly well against Dual Aggressors. Navigator wasn't very useful though, and using Intel Agent and large ship barrel roll to block seems pretty good.

Problems:

If someone is flying PS 1 you've already lost. The hope is that no one is, and that anyone running PS 2 is flying 4 B Wings at 100 points, which you beat with 99.

The ORS variant was already mediocre. It is however okay against Dual Aggressors. I imagine if you cluster around Soontir he'll eventually have to bump into one, and even 2 attack dice will wear down a Deci.

It's funny though.

This list looks fantastic. I think I will give it a go over the weekend. I like the idea of using the ships to activate APL. Take their action and use the turrents to do some damage.

I like the idea but I only have 2 2400s. But I do have 1300 as well, so I came up with this:

33: Wild Spacer w/ Intel Agent, APLs

33: Wild Spacer w/ Intel Agent, APLs

34: Outer Rimmer w/ Intel Agent, APLs, Falcon title, and....(you guessed it) C3PO!

It's such a silly list that you might as well have one gimmicky crutch like ol' Goldenrod. But I don't own a Tantive IV, so I'd probably just put navigator on instead.

Plus, the narrative behind it is bonkers. Three rebelious teenagers kidnap C3P0, steal the millennium falcon, strap defensive lasers to their ships, and go play bumper cars all around the Outer Rim! And somehow they've ammased an extensive spy network too...

I somewhat like the thought of mixing at matching your YTs. When the classic "BlockORS" is three ORS and this variation is instead using three WSF you could almost consider the individual ships as interchangeable.

I'd rather have a Navigator and an Initiative Bid than 3p0 and the Title...

You could drop 3PO and the Falcon title for a Flechette Cannon on the two Fringers for some extra forward hitting power and control.

I played 3x ORS at 100 points by putting the title on one of them, and my opponent flew a bunch of PS 1 A Wings and won initiative and I lost because of that. Might have had a chance if I didn't have the title on it.

When you're running BlockORS, if you move after your opponent, you lose.

Initiative is therefore vital.
