How does everyone feel about the frequency of the new ship releases? Do you want more releases a year? (it's averaging 2 waves per year) Or less? Or is it just right?

With Imperial Assault, Armada and other new games, I'm barely scratching the surface of Wave 6. And now Wave 6.5 and 7 is due out in the next few months. But I know a lot of players get multiple games in each week.

2 a year is plenty for me.

One wave plus one Ace/Epic/special pack would be more than enough for me. I have a hard time even getting to try a fraction of the ideas I have, before a new set is released.

That said, they might be pushing as many packs as they possibly can, before someone like Disney get any ideas about closing the lid(?)

I would like if they released 1 ship at a time instead of a whole wave. That way you can totally explore what that ships has to offer. This would likely unbalance things though, especially now that there are 3 factions. The problem when a whole wave is released at once is that there are just too many things to run. Hard to find time to explore everything. I think a slower release schedule like that would better help with actual game balance and there wouldn't be as many duds. Every wave has a good number of dud pilots/upgrades that never see the light of day.

3 Waves a year, or 2 Waves + Aces a year its great.

I'm okay with twice a year so long as epic ships have their own schedule.

I say less. The authentic Star Wars feel on the tabletop becomes increasingly diluted with each wave. I have been a SW nerd all my life and even I struggle to recognise the newer ships.

Less at this point, we have enough ships for each faction (although I still want to see a couple more Scum ships). What we could use are a few Aces packs to revitalize some of the older ships.

All the ships I want haven't been released, so I want more until that happens.

I'm not somebody that buys every ship though, so I don't feel this horrible strain every time a wave gets released that a lot of the rest of you apparently do.

I mean, I'm probably going to spend, like, $30 on Wave 7. And then I'll be anxiously awaiting the next thing.

This seems about right. 1, maybe 2, normal waves (eventually 1 ship per faction per wave), with the occasional Epic, Ace, or miscellaneous release is enough to keep it fresh. Stuff like the K-Wing and Punisher are starting to push my limit for how deep this rabbit hole needs to go.

The Punisher really bugs me, I really wish they used those ideas for a Tie Bomber Aces. I've bee saying forever that the Bomber needs FCS (or something similar if you don't want to give it a System slot), and the top named pilot's ability would've been great on a Bomber. Now ffg expects me to replace my 4 Bombers with Punishers? Not going to happen, I'll just proxy my Bombers for them in casual games.

I'm happy with the current release schedule.

This "poll" reminds me of when WotC was releasing books for SAGA. The game may have run into a hard end when the license passed but a slow and measured release rate gives time for everything to soak in first and perhaps allow some room for adjustment to the next release where having too many releases to close together makes things much more chaotic.

To me a new "wave" each year and perhaps a special set of some kind or two is a pretty good pace.

I believe the timing of waves is perfectly fine.

This could be like ST:AW where they are on freaking Wave 16! That is beyond ridiculous.

Aces, lots of them not this twice an election cycle BS. And release waves in a per faction basis three times a year so each faction can bathe in the glory of being the only new stuff on the block for a third of the year.
