Heavy Scyk is still overpriced, but dropping plasma torps with Squad Leader's TL+F and following up with a pair of manglers should be able to lay on the hurt early. Keeping Seresu in the back of the formation should help keep Scks alive.

Shame You can fire only one torpedo on Alpha Strike.

Possibly it would work better with Ion cannon instead of second torpedo.

But Serissu with SL is something I need to test..

interesting idea, but I don't think 5 scyks have the staying power even if you get the torps off. Ultimately, I think ion cannon would be better, because its less 'situational' (its useful against all ships, whereas plasma torps are only good against high shield ships), it can be used multiple times per battle, and it adds a control element that will help protect your fragile ships better than the torps will.
