Most efficient 25 point imperial ship?

Why would you ever replace Homing Missiles with Concussion or Proton Torps? Homing Missiles let you re-roll your dice, no matter what. It's much more effective than the other two. I've used all three in many games and Homing Missiles are superior.

....

Homers are better. They are also 1 point more expensive and we are all on a budget of points, so you are always making tradeoffs when designing a squad around your style and what else you have. Also, with all else being equal Homers, Protons and Concussion all have the same average damage (3 hits) and while you may get spikes and lows they all deal similar damage over time. When I need an extra point, its a common downgrade for me to take. Or to put it another way, its the same reason we all take Seismic Charges over Proton Bombs, just less extreme.

I think your load out is good, its just when I use seismic, I prefer PS 4+. Thats why I used the phrase "I would" in my reply. I do appreciate your style which relies on a lot of player skill for both bombs and missiles.

By the way I loved your battle report, I am going to need to give that squad a try sometime, been hankering to fly a Bomber squad again and its good to push my comfort zone.

I would've taken it to Regionals this year, but Brobots really killed it. Their high agility means that they can just evade the damage sometimes. Until Extra Munitions comes out, I can't really allow that to happen and still win.

When EM comes out, though, I'll just go with 4 x Scimitars w/ Homing Missile, EM, and Seismic for 2 missiles and 2 bombs each.

Saber + LW + AT

... sadly you can't have 4 of those ... r1-2 for LW is too much anyway to have more than one.

How about

Scimitar + Flechette + Proton Bombs + Extra Munitions?

With the restrictions of current ships and a single ship, probably:

RGP with PTL

Saber with lone wolf and auto thrusters

Doom shuttle

Based on the rest of your list.

I keep wanting to make Saber with Opportunist work... It hasn't yet, but I refuse to give up!
