Are the Heroes of the Drakon game the ones on the front of the Descent 2.0 base game box cover, or is that just me wishful thinking?

I haven't received my box yet to confirm (or infirm) this theory, but I will soon and answer it.

The disapointing thing is that there is no official way to use thoses in Descent 2.0. Maybe I'm going to do it myself.

The Terrinoth series of games has a long and storied history of putting heroes on the box cover who never appear in the game. At least for the base game's box. Expansions usually (though not always) depict heroes included within. At this point, I think it's just a running joke.

To the OP: The ranger figure does bear a striking resemblence to the guy on the D2E box cover, but I don't really see any of the others. Drakon has never been properly tied to the Terrinoth universe, aside from recycling some Runebound figures for 3E. Even then, there was no thematic connection - the heroes didn't even have names in Drakon - just re-used minis.

I think the ranger and the mace the fighter is holding is what caught my attention.
