Ditch the Starviper and go for a 4th Y Wing and use the remain 4 points to up one of the thugs to Drea? Two bombs or Flechette Torpedoes instead?

No title. Makes them less predictable to fly, meaning you hopefully won't get blocked as much.

I'd keep the Viper. Gives you range 3 firepower and a potential blocker of your own.

1 Vigo w/ autothrusters + flechette torp

No one will want to joust against this and if the Vigo gets a TL on an arc-dodger, its dead (once stressed the thugs can zero in for the kill). Even if there's more than one high PS arc-dodger, the Vigo is an excellent blocker for the thugs to get shots.

However, this list archetype will struggle vs fat pancakes with engine upgrade. Boost on a large base really trumps range 2 only weapons, unless you can trick the opponent into jousting with you (don't chase it in other words)
