Well yes, if your enemy brings nothing but anti-squadron combos like this. But in all probability they'll have a couple of bombers in there and unchallenged bombers are extremely annoying as they just buzz around knocking off shields or dealing damage cards whilst you either peashoot them with your miserable anti-squadron dice or, more likely, try to shrug off their damage / keep them out of range whilst you keep your firing arcs for anti-ship.
