If the OL kills all the villagers in encounter 1, can sir palamon summon any militiamen in encounter 2?
castle daerion rules question
Yes, he can still call reinforcements as normal.
Edited by ZaltyreFollow up question: Does he have an upper limit to the number of militia he can summon?
Edited by OncusI believe the upper limit is only given by the victory condition. He can only test to marshal defenders once per round.
We just finished the 1st encounter with heroes victory, 2 villagers saved. I have a question about the rules of the second encounter, thank God we'll not be playing it today.
The reinforcements says; 'as the start of each overlord turn, he may place 1 monster from 1 of his monsters groups OR Sir Alric mFarrow on the Laboratory, respecting groups limits"
What this means about sir Alric? If he dies, I can respawn him in the lab, with full health? This just can't be!
Yes, that can be. Alric continually can be reinforced on the laboratory. It's unlikely you have a relic at this point, but if you do, remember that he will lose it once he is defeated the first time.
As an OL, you'll still probably have trouble winning this quest if you play with the most current errata.
Edited by ZaltyreSometimes Lieutenants can be reinforced if they are killed in a specific quest.
Alright then. It's like he just k.o., like the heroes, but he will raise in full health. Thanks for replying.
Well, no, it's not like a KO hero at all. It is more like he is a brand new Alric- just like if the master ettin is defeated and then you reinforce a master ettin on the next turn. It's just that Alric's group limit is 1 Alric for all games.
I´ve got it, it's like I said, he will be back in full health. Thanks dude.
Actually, Zaltyre mentions this because some quests have rules that allow lieutenants to become knocked out, so its not the same as being killed and reinforced.
Edited by Atom4geVampireThere are times when a Lieutenant does indeed become knocked out. It happens quite often with Splig in the Labryinth of Ruin campaign for example.
On those specific quests, I tend to improvise and put their tokens to good use, representing them when they get Koed. That is when I have their actual figure.

Oh, really? I didn't know, cause I'm still on the early quests. Since I have all the lt. figures I'll do the same thing you mentioned with the tokens, when in need
