Mass Effect and Xcom (maybe a version for XCOM2)
Or is this just a case of me wanting to give FFG all my cash :-)

Lord of the Rings. The Campaign system would work really well with Middle Earth, I think.
If there was a Mass Effect retheme would the ending have different colours?
I was really confused for a second, thinking I was still on the X-wing forum. "Middle Earth & Mass Effect flight path games? What?"
But yeah, those are good ideas.Mass Effect would be awesome.
I'd like to see Ghost Busters, G.I.Joe, Fallout, or some kind of Marvel/DC super heroes version.
I'd also really love to have a Co-Op mode for Imperial Assault, like in Gear of War (Corey Konieczka worked on both games, so he could probably pull it off.)
+ 1 G.I.Joe. I would love to see that!
I was thinking of how to adapt Mass Effect into Imperial Assault just the other day. Seems like it would be pretty straightforward: i.e. Krogans would be Trandoshans. Seems like a cool project someday if I get tired of the Star Wars aspect of it. (Unlikely.)
Whenever I tell be people about the game I ask if they've played XCOM (since it was a pretty popular game), if so you can just tell them to imagine XCOM as a board game. And you can hook someone into playing basically that easy. (Yes, I know FFG has a XCOM game too, I haven't played it yet but in my opinion IA is closer to XCOM tactics than that game could be...)
Flying frog productions (FFP) has produced a co-OP dungeon crawl game called "Shadows of Brimstone". The rules aren't the greatest, but I am really digging the setting, so I would love to convert the IA ruleset for it.
I've thought about doing a conversion to play space hulk with the IA rules.
Aliens Vs Predator (Vs Marines of course and even throw in Vs Terminator [skyNet] )

I disagree. I think the SoB rules are superior to Imperial Assault, but that is just me. They could be a little simpler in some areas, but then IA is a bit of an odd system since it is derived from another game. Of course SoB rules are like a more in-depth version of the rules for the board game Fortune and Glory, which I like a great deal.
I'd like to have a game, similar to or just like IA, that featured Star Trek characters.

The SoB designers seemed to be of the school of "here's a design problem, let's fix it with another deck of cards". I think I counted 18 different decks of cards for basic play, plus another 4-5 decks for each of the 7 "other world"s that are coming out, so there will eventually be around 45 decks of cards for the game, almost any of which might be needed for a given mission.
All that said, something about the game just "works" because I have an absolute blast every time we play it, and I am hugely excited about the big box of new stuff for it that I am supposed to get tomorrow.
oh man the idea of FFG having the Mass Effect license is too much. I'd go brokeĀ®.
Not sure if I would want to see it or not, but on the financial prospects alone it would seem like a Harry Potter Themed miniatures crawler could be pretty thematic and marketable as well as potentially being mechanically viable as well, what with whipping spells around at dark wizards and the like.
I like the LotR idea, and I would dig a 40k one too. Rings might happen, but I doubt 40k will. Games workshop seems intent on making their models into a bunch of board games right now on their own. GW might by license to the mechanics system though.
BattleTech/MechWarriors
Play as one of the Great Houses, the Clan, Comstar, or Word of Blake. Can use the SW: Imperial Assault format for planetary warfare and use either X-Wing or SW: Armada for space battles. Can even remake a LCG for it as well.
