Newbie Question

By gilles de rais+, in 4. AGoT Deck Construction

Hi,

I'm completely new to the game. Bought a core set a few month ago but never got the time to get into it. Dumb enough, I unpacked all the games just to have a slightly look at the cards and put them loosely back into the box.

Now that I wanted to have a deeper look at the game I found all the cards mixed up. Is there a possibilty to put cards together as intended? Or isn't that necessary at all?

Help would be appreciated much :)

Gilles

You'll be happy to hear that the designers anticipated that problem, and designed a solution. Every card has a code on the right-hand side of the card, about halfway from the top to the bottom. That code starts with a letter that indicates which of the original four decks that card came from. If you sort the cards by that letter, you will have the original four decks.

Uh, can it really be that easy? I am sure that I read somewhere about that before now that you mention it :) Thank you so much. I hope that getting into the game will be easy and fun. I'm looking to forward playing it very much.

Thank you so much for your help.

But what about cards like Crown Regent or Master of Laws? I can't find a code on these cards sad.gif

EDIT: Well, these are the title cards, aren't they? And therefore don't belong to a specific deck, right?

Correct. You'll notice the backs of the cards are also red instead of blue.

Well thanks for your help so far. I still got a question. I had a slight look at amazon.co.uk and was surprised that I couldn't find many. How's that? There are already six chapter pax, aren't there? And how can I make out which packs belong to the ccg or to the lcg?

There are actually 16 Chapter Packs with a 17th due out this week.

All Chapter Packs belong to the LCG. The first 6 bridged the era between the 2, but as far the manufacturers are concerned, they are part of the LCG, too.
