If I understand the rules correctly, a ship can make two attacks (from different hull zones) on its turn, AND attack any squadron within close range (or is it distance 1?) one time. Is this accurate?

You can make 2 attacks, each from a different hull zone. Those attacks can chose to attack squadrons in which case you can attack all the squadrons inside that arc using your anti fighter barrage dice. Currently all ships use blue anti fighter dice so that's medium range.
If you attack squadrons with an attack you can't also attack a ship from the same arc.
You don't get to attack squadrons as well as doing 2 attacks to ships.
Great- thanks for clarifying!
Hi,
I am not sure I completely understood the outcome of this discussion.
My understanding:
1) a ship can perform two attacks per turn (attack A and B), originating from two different hull zones.
2) IF attack 'A' is against one of the squadrons within the firing arc of the corresponding hull zone, the player can then attack one second squadron out of the n enemy squadrons within the firing arc of the same hull zone; it won't be possible to attach a third squadron within the same firing arc during Attack 'A'. The attacker can then move to Attack 'B' from another hull zone of the same ship, that he will be able to choose whether to direct against a ship ore against TWO squadrons of those within attack range and firing arc of this hull zone.
Is this correct, in your opinion?
Thank you.
Ciao
If you shooter to shoot at squadrons as one of your 2 hull zone attacks, you repeat the attack process until you have attacked all squadrons in that arc.
You can perform two attacks per turn, each from a different hull zone (unless you have an upgrade/ability/objective card that says otherwise).
If you attack a ship, bang! That's it.
If you attack a squadron, you can attack all squadrons that are within the firing zone's arc. So if he parked 10 squadrons on your front arc and you decide to shoot at squadrons, then you make one attack against each squadrons. Also note that each attack on a squadron is treated as a separate attack so things like Warlord or H9 lasers can trigger for each attack.
The Range Ruler has a Range side (close, medium, long) and a Distance side (1,2,3,4,5). In general ships use the Range side and squadrons use the Distance side. Read any upgrade cards closely and look for Range or Distance keywords.
Also remember they will only use the terms close/medium/long when you are measuring with the Range side. Like wise if a number 1-5 is used it means that the Distance side should be used.
Note: The "Gunnery Team" upgrade card would allow you to have one attack from an arc be against fighters, and another attack from the same arc be against a ship.

Therefore, assuming I am using one only ship for one only round and have 2 enemy ships and 10 enemy squadrons in sight and within firing range:
- ATTACK 1 (from hull zone "x") AGAINST A SHIP:
---- attack 2 (from hull zone "y") can be directed against another enemy hull zone....
.....OR.....
---- attack 2 (from hull zone "y") can be directed against all of the 10 enemy squadrons.
- ATTACK 1 (from hull zone "x") AGAINST A SQUADRON:
---- I can attack the remaining 9 squadrons from my hull zone "x".
---- I will not be able to perform my second attack (e.g. from hull zone "y").
Is that correct?
Thank you

Attack 1: From Hull Zone 'X'... Attack either 1 Enemy Ship Hull Zone within Range and Arc, or *all* Enemy Squadrons in Range and Arc.
Attack 2: From Hull Zone 'Y'... Attack either 1 Enemy Ship Hull Zone within Range and Arc, or *all* Enemy Squadrons in Range and Arc.
If your Enemy happens to fall on the borderline so both Hulls X and Y can draw Range and Arc... Congratulations, you Double-Arc'd someone! Celebrate with Fist-Pumps as you roll the hurt on.
Thank you.

That example is a bit confusing. Let me offer another one.
You have a Victory 2 and it is facing off against a CR90 and 10 X-Wing squadrons. The CR90 and the X-Wings are all in Medium range of your Victory 2.
Scenario 1: The CR90 and all 10 X-Wing squadrons are right in front of your Victory 2 and only the front arc has them in its sights. No targets are in arc for the left or right side arcs.
Attack 1 - Choose whether you want to attack the ship or the squadrons
Choose ship - Roll you attack dice, resolve, Attack 1 finished
OR
Choose squadrons - Target Squadron 1, roll your anti-squadron armament dice, resolve, target next squadron, roll anti-squadron armament dice, resolve, and so on until you've fired on all 10 squadrons
Attack 2 - No targets for other arcs so no attack possible.
Scenario 2: The CR90 is in your front arc, there are 6 X-Wing squadrons on the left and 4 X-Wing squadrons on the right of your Victory 2. Again, all targets are in Medium range.
Attack 1 - Choose whether you want to attack the ship or the 6 X-Wings to your left or the 4 X-Wings to your right
In this example, let's say you chose to fire at the CR90
Choose ship - Roll you attack dice, resolve, Attack 1 finished
Attack 2 - You've already fired from your front arc so now you can only choose from either the left or right arc.
In this example, let's say you chose to fire at the group of 6 X-Wings
Choose squadrons - Target Squadron 1, roll your anti-squadron armament dice, resolve, target next squadron, roll anti-squadron armament dice, resolve, and so on until you've fired on all 6 squadrons
Scenario 3. The CR90 is in your front arc along with 2 X-Wings. There are 5 X-Wing squadrons on the left and 3 X-Wings squadrons on the right of your Victory 2. Again, all targets are in Medium range.
Attack 1 - Choose whether you want to attack the ship or the 2 X-Wings on your front arc, or the 5 X-Wings to your left, or the 3 X-Wings to your right
In this example, let's say you chose to fire at the CR90
Choose ship - Roll you attack dice, resolve, Attack 1 finished
Attack 2 - You've already fired from your front arc so now you can only choose from either the left or right arc. The 2 X-Wing squadrons on the front arc are no longer valid targets as you've already fired from the front arc.
In this example, let's say you chose to fire at the group of 3 X-Wings
Choose squadrons - Target Squadron 1, roll your anti-squadron armament dice, resolve, target next squadron, roll anti-squadron armament dice, resolve, and so on until you've fired on all 3 squadrons
Scenario 4. The CR90 is offset to your left a bit so both the front and left arc can target the CR90. There are 6 X-Wing squadrons on your left arc and 4 X-Wing squadrons on your rear arc. Again, all targets are in Medium range.
Attack 1 - Choose whether you want to attack the ship or the 6 X-Wings to your left, or the 4 X-Wings to your rear
In this example, let's say you chose to fire at the CR90 from your left arc
Choose ship - Roll you attack dice, resolve, Attack 1 finished
Attack 2 - You've already fired from your left arc so now you can only choose from either the front or rear arc. The 6 X-Wing squadrons on the left arc are no longer valid targets as you've already fired from the left arc.
In this example, let's say you chose to fire at the CR90 from your front arc
Choose ship - Roll you attack dice, resolve, Attack 2 finished
Hope that makes it a bit clearer!
